  1. I have a mac as well, and I got stuck at that exact spot on this exercise. I found out about that one button (the one Ken just pointed out) at the hash bash and I've been meaning to try it. I just haven't gotten the chance yet, and since I've updated to v. 13 I guess I need to figure out how to upload the dictionary, cause it seems to be lost (I remember reading posts on how to do that though so no worries). Anywho, I'm rambling on here... Oh yeah, what I was going to say is...... should this button be added to the explanation of this tutorial when the next manual comes out? For the sake of newbies who are mac users? Just a thought.
  2. Holy Smokey!!!! Incredible work Stian!
  3. I know, they're everywhere!!!! It makes me feel old.
  4. I'm not a stress case... well, maybe sometimes but, definitely not over hash frapper (I'm silent most the time in person, but very wordy on the internet, so I'm afraid I come across pretty stressed out, oops) thanks luckbat
  5. Sorry, I'm not from Alabama, and this is straying off topic, but I just went and looked at the hash frapper again and my pointer is gone? I still appear in the slideshow though, do i need to redo my location?
  6. Silly Rodney. If you waited 4 years to buy it, since the Comdex of '04 in Las Vegas, wouldn't the year that you got it be 2008?
  7. sorry to stray off topic, but... This is your second model and you're only twelve *jaw drop* All I have to say is WOW, keep up the good work! I wish I could've started in sixth grade. I look forward to seeing your work!
  8. I too avoided the timeline until the hash bash... There I was able to watch everybody use the program and Dylan taught me a really cool way how to edit. I'll put up a screen once I get A:M loaded...
  9. Very cool stuff, I really enjoyed that. I can't wait to see more!!!
  10. I'm devoted to TWO as well, I'm not a modeler and I'm not a rigger, but I'm learning how to animate. I'm working on TWO right now, and next year I'll be off to college to start studying fine art and animation... So I should hopefully be improving quite a bit.. I know this doesn't help you right now, but if you are still needing help with your movie after TWO is over... I'm hoping that I'll be loads improved and I will gladly help. I need all the experience I can get and this working on feature films over the internet is really cool. Good luck though with your movie and I hope that everything works out for you. Best wishes, Teresa Nord
  11. I don't know why I hadn't looked at this post yet. That was TRULY amazing. Sheez, stunning, I'm in shock! Where did you learn how to animate? Did you teach yourself or go to school? That's CRAZY GOOD!
  12. That's an awesome keyboard. Can you imagine how much money they'll make. Robert, why didn't you think of that? (hee hee)
  13. You post exercise two just like you posted exercise four. On exercise four watch out for the feet sinking into the floor! ...and I'm not sure about his throwing arm. Does it ever move from the shoulder or does it just go down when he does? (maybe that's just an observation coming from an ex-long-time-softball player) Anyways, you might want to check those two things out. Then again I might be wrong about his arm. Good job though, you're moving quite along. You'll be an expert before we know it.
  14. Yeah, I'll put more of a walk cycle on. I'm just not finding how you set that constraint ease thing to zero until 00:12:04?
  15. That makes sense , thanks. Umm, where is that? Is this it in the properties? and I just change the percent? [attachmentid=16554] Never mind just tried that. Umm? Well, I'll keep playing around with it... Thanks luckbat!
  16. I know I should know how to do this, but I don't. I've been messing around with it for forever and finally decided that I need help. It's probably something simple that I'm not doing, but I can't figure out what it is... Okay, so I'm playing around with the Knight and reusable actions in the Dark Room (in the projects folder). I have him be idle and then yawn. (No problem) Where I run into a problem is when I try to have him walk on a path after that. When I create the path and constrain him to it and the type of walk I want, then it automatically constrains him to the path when he is idle and yawns. So I end up with a knight yawning as he slides along a path. The obvious thing I tried first was to create the walk in a new choreography action, but that didn't work, I had the same results. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong? [attachmentid=16550] [attachmentid=16551] [attachmentid=16552] [attachmentid=16553]
  17. Sure that's definitely possible, but you should post this in the new users thread. You can use a car from the library and customize it or you can construct your own, and creating dust is very possible. There's lots of possibilities...
  18. very cool My favorite part is where you zoom out to see the finished project!
  19. Those are really impressive! I like them
  20. Nooo, don't quit yet, it's only been a week. You can do it! I'm pretty new to AM, so I'm still finding my way around the program too. I started with The Art of Animation Master book with all the exercises in it. That's a really good place to start, it's meant for beginners and it walks you through everything step by step. I would definitely suggest that you start there. Good luck and stay patient this program takes some time to get the hang of it, but you'll get it. Best Wishes, Teresa Oh, and if you get stuck on one of the exercises or get discouraged, just hop right on this forum, these guys are masters of this software. (literally)
  21. Welcome Bob! Hey, I am one of five kids in my family. I'm working on getting a certificate too. Anyways, I'm glad that you picked it up again.
  22. No it's fine, I needed to update it anyways. There have been other movies that I haven't watched because of it, so it's about time I did it. I liked it! Although I have to agree with the others about the anticipation and the fingers through the floor at the end. Nice job
  23. I don't have Quicktime 7, but I do have itunes and I can't view the QT movie. This has been happening a lot though, so I'm downloading the free version of QT 7 right now.
  24. Hello Marni, I'm a senior in high school and my name is Teresa. I wish I could say that I had a background in animation, but I haven't gone to college yet. I can see how having a background in animation would make this program a lot easier to work with. I'm not the best with doing things on computers either. I just know that I love animation and I want to animate for Pixar someday. You've come to the right place to learn new things from reading peoples posts. I'm overwhelmed with stuff to learn. This forum is a great way to make connections and learn how to use the program!!! I love it!
  25. I'm going to come back as soon as third trimester starts at school! I've been swamped in school work, but I'm just letting you all know that I'm coming back soon. Okay that's it for now, see you in the exercises posts in about two weeks!
