hey guys havent been around lately been busy with work and stuff and also been stuck with a few thing on A:M back when i made the lego guy i was having real touble trying to texture him and couldnt figure out why it wasnt working the way i wanted all i was trying to do was put a shirt onto his chest and it just had to stick to the front but when i got texture on there a white background came along with it and it went all over his front so for a month now been trying to figure out diffrent ways to texture i though it would be a good idea to see what you guys think of my progress before i try to texture the lego guy again first i tried something simple a rock with landscape and sky was trying to get the best looking texture with the least modeling this is what i ended up with [attachmentid=13280] took about 5 mins to render its all textures got bumpmaps colormaps specmaps (intesity and size) sky dome with 1 bulb light i will be adding more to the scene whe i get a chance after i perfected this technique ill go back to lego guy

ok i made new blocks to go with lego guys i actually got out my blocks and mesured them so they should be exacte i guess as far as the trademark thing ill just leave them blank if they ask ill call them mondo blocks or something i still got to finsh the decaling which shoulding be too hard also i am having trouble with the rigging part if someone could take a look at what i did with it so far and tell me what i have to add i would apprciate it much generic_lego_man.zip
-
ok cool ill try that but umm what is a normal map i mean ive heard of them just never really seen one or know how to make one i am using 2005 version 12

ty im getting good at calculations and this only took 34 mins to my surpise right now im decaling and rebuilding the lego blocks quick question if i were to put the word lego on all the blocks cylinders how would i go about doing that, well the easiest way, and part 2 is would i get in trouble for doing it. only place that it would likely be seen is on this forum and on my website.

hey all im kind of puting my Jumpsuit dave project to the side until my writer/storyboard partner finishes on his end so im starting something new, and what could be easier to do than a movie with legos. started making chracters and bricks for peices made this test render shot to see how it would like as far as still maybe for a poster not sure yet. this guy is just generic guy i can make any decal i want on him and save him as a diffrent chracter (god i love legos!!) ill be working on this alot more since i dont have to wait for anyone to finish this tell me what you think so far.

awsome somebody is intersted! well the story of jumpsuit dave was simple dave was an averge guy working at fast food in arizona with no goal then he meets some homeless guy. he gives him a burger and in return the homeless guy gives him a leatard, cleaning gloves, sewer boots, and a kickass ww2 gas helmet. after dave got home he put on all the gear he decided what he wanted to do hes going to be... a traveling superhero!! so with no money and no powers he starts walking to the next town. thats all im giving right now so i got alot of work to do on that.
-
finally after about oh say 3 months i finally got jumpsuit dave done to begin his super short movie i was able to get one shot rendered at the moment and more will come soon just not this weekend. tell me what you guys think of the setting
