  1. Roses are red - another lipsync to some music. The problem is I have an avi-file as a background on a layer. The avi-file has some roses flying up. The avi-file is 1 second. And I want to repeat it - loop it - but how to do it - I can not figure out... I have made a keyframe in the Choreography for the layer with the avi - file and in the timeline I am choosing for that keyframe: Curve > Post-Extrapolation Method > Repeat But the avi-file will not repeat - will not loop!!! What am I doing wrong? Or is there some other method to get an avi-file to loop?
  2. If You are angry at someone - do you only make faces or do you only speak? I think faces - expressions - movements and sound go together. And so do I think all ones making film - theatre performances Having sound on movies everyone uses it - uses it for talking characters - not using mimicing charachters. Passing moments was a very nice film - with sound! giving the emotional background - but no talk - well there could have been talking too. Some scenes can be done without talk.... without music.... without expressions... but they are not the common ones.
  3. You are welcome to download my clown - to do some lipsynched animation - both showing the feeelings and expressing them with words... Perhaps you can learn me to rig the eyes in the same time... or you know some good link there to rig the expressions in the face... clown_mouth_rigged.zip
  4. Well you have two legs! You have to stand on them both - trying to balance - move forward or backing a bit. The same to performances - theatre, film.... animations...::: moving-images AND sound.... They - the look and listen - are mixing to a new mix... and that mix is used in all performances nearly... some mimes to see but not many... Sure good animations I like them as I like good actors performing something with good movements.... but actors as animated characters also have to speak... It is not one or the other - it is both... standing, moving on two legs - balancing.... using all kinds of expressions and sound is one of them... you cannot use smell on computers... but if so! why not?
  5. Yes, I am a fan of mime! And NOT! Why NOT? Because there are not many mime performances to see. Because the talked word are so much more effective to tell stories - plays. Most TV-programs, films, theatres are using talking characters. Why is not sound used so much when animating here on A:M Forums? Bandwith I believe... Sorenson compression and DivX - makes it possible now to use it. And mobiles with Internet they will have sound and moving pictures - video or animation. I believe it is time to start using sound! Sound give much of the emotions. And you have to express emotions to gather an audience. higginsdj have you done some lipsynched animation? It would really nice to have some look and listen... to some character of yours.
  6. Yes, before it was possible to use sound in movies... Then he used sound... he was not stupid.... Yoiu are welcome to use my clown to do some Chaplin with sound... It would be nice to hear some words from you inserted in the mouth of the clown - Chaplin or not... http://www.clown-ministry.com/History/Charlie-Chaplin.html Charlie Chaplin attacks Hitler in The Great Dictator The Great Dictator was Charlie Chaplin's first truly talking picture, and when it was finally released in 1940, it was a worldwide sensation. Many people mistakenly think that the character of the Jewish Barber in the film is the Tramp, but Charlie Chaplin was adamant that they are different characters. Although the barber uses many of the Tramp's mannerisms, he is also clearly an individual in his own right. And the barber is far more long-winded, as the famous "Look Up, Hannah" speech at the end of the movie reminds us.
  7. And here a picture showing the content in clown_mouth_rigged.zip You are welcome to use the model. I believe it can be used for simple things telling stories with lipsync. The nine lipsync poses are inserted - so just record some talk. Make a new Action and a new dopesheet for that action - and the lipsync will function. It has the 2001 rig and Willis mouth rig - with new more descriptive namnes. You can alter the face - there are some splines - for a new nose and eyes. If you find out something to alter - hopefully you will contribute with your alternative!
  8. If anyone is interested in studying or using the clown with Willis mouth rig a bit altered - more splines inserted. You can download the project file - model file and a bit sound - showing the clown in action - saying: My public silence please! clown_mouth_rigged.zip
  9. Thanks for the comments! To me it has been about to use Willi´s mouth rig: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=14142 To insert it into a face. And to do some lip-syncing to be able to tell a story and perhaps get someone listening and looking. A TV-set without sound is just crap - that is my belief. And I believe it is the same with animations eg. Donald Duck without lipsynched sound will not get a public - and no incomes! I think Willi´s mouth rig is good - it is simple - not so many bones - but I do not understand how it is figured out. A WINK tutorial on how to build a mouth rig and I would be very glad and I believe many others too... Or just some description of what to think of - then trying to build a rig... Someone knowing something - willing to give a little help?
  10. Welcome! Hope you can understand something... About language: http://cp.settlement.org/english/mauritius/commun.html welcome01.mov
  11. OK! Can you upload your file? But PIXMITE wanted to use an expression. Here is my try... it does not function... I have to understand how to use expressions better before trying more... some other day perhaps....
  12. Why not upload the project file? What I can understand are you not using a Pose to alter the rotation.... PIXMITE tried to use this expression: Z’s Rotation Angle = GetTime()*(PoseEnforcementValue)*0.55 + 0.44)*360 His problem was this: My problem is when I click on the enforcement value in my throttle pose that I created while building the expression for Z’ rotation angle I get an entry in my expression that looks something like this: |….|….|….|Throttle Pose|Relationship1.Enforcement *************************************************** Do you need to use GetTime()? And how to use a Pose with some Percentage to alter the rotation speed? ***********************************************'''' And what are you doing? Can you alter the rotation along the timeline in the Choreography... that is my question... ************************************************ And I do not understand how you are using the two bones... No picture of them to see...
  13. I suppose in zero gravity the hair has NO direction or ALL directions! Perhaps NO serious issue? Having NO gravity the hair cells do not know ANY direction - growing also inwards... Meditate on that! http://freeweb.supereva.com/malilla/Pages/...ards/itc.html?p
  14. perhaps a boolean after the mathematician Boole: http://www-groups.dcs.st-and.ac.uk/~histor...ians/Boole.html Or what do you call it?
  15. What are you thinking of? Perhaps of some old stuff clothing? Yes, I have put bones in the hat but they fell off - because of his lunch packet - not just a chicken - a hen! I think this comment was superb from the only insider: Here is a new one with some zoom-toon: can_can_clown06.mov
  16. And the clown a little bit different! A night shot! can_can_clown04.mov
  17. Why do I get the white-lines around the clown? Why no anti-aliasing? How to put it on? I am using Final and 3 passes and I get that white contour? Hope someone has an idea!
  18. Yes, I did! Was it so bad? Or so good?
  19. Thanks for having some opinion!
  20. Let´s do the clown! Or what do you think? can_can_clown01.mov
  21. A funny one! But there is the sound? The player is he mute? The grass is green - YES! but the sky is not that blue... The grass and the sky is not compitable... I think doing the sky really blue to match the grass would be better!
  22. Proportions - what are you talking about??? This is a caricature - not some realism... The thing is you do not want the public to stare on his ears - or do you?
  23. Having a look at your model and the image in the same time... I must say you have done a good job... What I react to on your model - comparing - the two - is the ears on your model - I believe they are too big - drawing too much attention.... What do you say?
  24. Yes - not only animation - I will have some sound too - a raindrop - that is really poetic - can be great - and then the realism - this drop has got bad teeth - I just wonder why? perhaps has something to do with water pollution? http://www.umich.edu/~gs265/society/waterpollution.htm That would be a great story - poetic raindrops falling down into todays reality... I believe this raindrop can turn into some really nice...
  25. Are you using some photo? then modeling... Or there have you got this impression from? just curious!
