This one is a guide to The Linoln Memorial. But you can make guides for all subjects! You can use some photo and lipsynch the person on the photo having recorded some sound to use. Here is an example on how ot lipsync President Lincoln! To do the lipsync of a photo you have to start out with the lipsynced mouth you can find in the project file belonging to Four Basic Lessons. Something like this can also be possible to animate and lipsynch after doing the four tutorials - but it is not recommended as the first task... The result can be something like this - giving some thoughts and feelings around genetic manipulation. funny03.mov

Thanks! Zipping everything in one file - Yes! But the files are together 3.4 MegaByte and the limit for uploading 1 MegaByte! And the Teachers A:M Tutorial I decided better have an other name - Four Basic Lessons - but you cannot delete topics or change the name of topics so I had to link it to this topic. Have a look on the tutorials - hopefully you will understand... or if something is hard to understand hope you will come back to tell and I can perhaps change something. And do something - practice - tell some story... some short joke can be a beginning... it would really be nice to see and hear something! I really hope these lessons will give some result... it is so many stories to tell and so many ought to able to do it on WWW with an easy to use but still advanced program as A:M. I believe most teachers have no practice using 3D telling stories or teaching others to do it. To change that will not be easy - but let us try. Living in a media world we have to learn not only to read and write in school. We have to learn how to use the new medias telling our stories to a local or world wide audience. Most kids love to begin school learning to read and write. After some years most kids are not that happy any longer. Why? I believe they do not learn how to express themselves - using their imagination and critical thinking and their emotions in a proper way - communicating with the world. Animation with video makes it possible to express yourself using your creativity - to learn to grow up in the media society - working on getting an identity - and hopefully many of the conflicts in todays schools can be solved - perhaps in a future just laughing at the problems of today. Animation Master being a professional program I believe is the program to use in schools learning to express yourself - using your whole I - all your imagination and realism by combining animation with video. Here a tutorial in four parts to learn the basic concepts in A:M. I believe you can do it in only one day!!! Having understood the basic concepts you can as a teacher let your students work with the program and kids are fast learners - so soon they will learn you! And you have got youngsters having the possibility to express themselves - telling their stories in the media society - just entertaining or/and telling useful stories about our history, our world today and about our future - their future! Learn how to tell stories with Animation Master using your own models, sounds and bitmaps in four basic lessons. I believe you can learn it in four hours and then you have to practise for four more hours. Then you can teach it to others! And right clicking the modeling window to change View: Front, Top, Right, Left... And changing between Render Modes: Wireframe, Shaded, Wireframe & Shaded Making a Spline with some CPs, Modeling with Lathe and Extrude. Making a group - naming it - and coloring it. Inserting bones - making relationships between them - parent - child. Attaching CP:s to the bones. Animating in the Choreography using Skeletal Mode. And to Render the animation to a file. PART2 Using what you learnt in part 1 to make a mouth and eyes and make the mouth smile with help of a Relationship Percentage Pose. Really helpful of you doing this! Thanks a lot! all the files! But the .swf I do not understand... It shows every mouse click and movement but no text to explain it - but no sound and that is good! I believe text is better than sound - easier to navigate - not having to listen to some chap talking and talking and talking... Why not use WINK to make 20 screen captures - just pressing the Pause key 20 times to get the captures you need - and then some text to explain what you are doing. I think that is the method... I hope you will have a try because you do so many good things for the A:M Forums... and you have so many good projects and models to download on your site... it is just some small explanations on how to do it yourself that is needed so everyone can get it. Perhaps Sandgroper can get it too? He is just talking - no one answers - I believe he has something to say - try to get him involved instead of just turning the backs to him - I believe he is a nice guy - why not start to communicate with him - he needs some clouds on his A:M sky!!!!

To make tutorials with the FREE program WINK download it from here: http://www.debugmode.com/wink/ Then install it, start it and go to Help to choose: View Tutorial Project 1 WINK will make a .htm-file and a .swf-file and you can start learning WINK in a quarter of an hour. The .swf-file is a Flash file. I hope you know Flash it is from Macromedia and it is 100 percent safe! To look at the tutorial you have to have the FLASH PLAYER plugin installed in your browser. About 80 percent of all browsers have the plugin. Internet Exploerer will install it automatically - just answer Yes! You can download it from here: http://www.macromedia.com/downloads Making tutorials with WINK is really fast and easy. And it let´s you describe all the steps in doing something in A:M by first screen capturing. Just press the Pause-key to screen capture. Having stopped the screen capturing you insert some text on every screen capture to describe what you have done in A:M. Then you render your tutorial to get a .htm-file and a .swf-file. Mostly the files are under 1 MB so you can pack them together in a .zip-file and upload them to an A:M forum to let others learn a bit. Before you begin a new tutorial in WINK first always RESIZE Animation Master! Otherwise perhaps everyone else cannot see what you are doing in A:M because they have not got as good screen resolution as you have. And rezising A:M before screen capturing the file size of the tutorial - the .swf-file - will become much smaller. So once more do not forget to RESIZE Animation:Master a bit before you start the new WINK tutorial. Or just change your screen resolution to 800*600 and you will not have any problems with A:M menus showing up outside the capturing area. Yes, evil energy... But he is good as an evil one... The wings makes him to an angel --- perhaps not your intention --- so the wings better have some evil pattern.... And he does not have a penis sheath... and the thing is a bit in the wrong place... he has got on the back.... the Religious Right perhaps will come to you and tell you some things. You better cut that thing away... or you can have a paper with some text on it glued to it... so they can understand what it is.. there are young kids on the Forums... haven´t you got it? What are you telling him? The ones on bad behavior are the harassers - the ignorant! The ones not being able to express themselves. The ones not able to communicate having nothing to say. To defend them is really bad behavior! And moderators having made harassing possible by inventing an ignore alternative - letting people turn their backs to each other! The result will be very bad for them... Not understanding it now... What they are doing to me now they will soon be doing to each other - having learnt this unhuman behavior. Most people having no guts. They can not stand up and telling how bad it is to harass others - how childish. Why defending the childish ones? The harassers? Trying to stay popular with the harassers! I tried to tell them - why not communicate? Why not answer my suggestion on a new BRANCH topic. Those harassers were not able to answer - not able to start communicating. What kind of people are that - I would be ashamed if I were them. One problem - but a problem easy to solve - is A:M can render .mov-files and .avi-files but you can only upload .mov-files? Why? Apple have paid for it?
