  1. Thanks. They're good even if small. Here's the latest. I'm pretty happy with the proportions now. Just a few spline tweaks and it should be on to texturing.
  2. I'll take the ones I know....I've never needed the others: Aim at: Constrains a bone end to point at the base of another bone/null. If the other bone moves, it will rotate to always be pointing at it. Aim Roll at: Constrains the roll handle (z axis rotation) to the base of another bone. Limits: Allow you to specify an angular/translation boundary for a bone. Surface: Constrains a bone to the surface of a mesh....for example for a tear rolling down a face.
  3. Heh.....you should set up a site like Rust Boy and get people to fund the project to finish it. Obviously it's a quality production (the best ever out of AM?...mustn't forget the Soul Cage ones though.) There are a few points I would critique, but given the over all quality, I'll let them pass. Well done and keep us posted on progress!! (This is the first I knew of the project aside from seeing the characters here and there) Oh and I hope you're posting this on the other forums. PS Are those actors doing the voices?

  6. Yeah I agree with the comments. Up to now I've been using the same references Dude posted. But I don't think they're from the movies. That's why I've been looking for better ones.....the more the better DJ.

  8. Getting there slowly. Probably about a third way through the tweaking. He's so familiar to me that it's difficult to get him perfect. He actually reminds me of ET now.

  13. I'm thinking as low spline as possible and do the rest with texture. I may use displacements on the lumpy bits at the top of his head....and any other lumps.
  14. I'm getting back to my own projects for a while and making another character. This guy is going to get the works. I'm going to concentrate on his head first (and maybe last) and I'll be using 3DPainter to do his texturing and bump maps. I'm adament to make this my best character yet. So, here's the first stages of the head. I haven't got great references and so this thread is to ask if anyone has good ones I can use. Or knows of a good website.

  18. Gulp. I think David said he was rigging him already. I just had a thought.....it'd be cool if the creases on his neck got deeper as his neck bends down.

But the real mind bender is that you created this mindless destruction. And the sissors was created to destroy. Aragh! Can't think about it no more.
  20. Wow. Hippogyraf never looked so hip! I'll have to do his facial poses soon. I'll wait till his textures are safely on the svn first though. PS Is Tinman going to get that cool textured beard etc again?
  21. I don't know, it might just be an illusion.Because the color change from white to pink at the hand is so straight, it seems like the cps are peaked there. I can't say for sure but I'll let you know if/when I know what it is.
  22. I have to say, there's been something bugging me about the mouses' forearms. They seem too simple. I'd love to see more shape to them. Especially around the wrist which seems too abrupt. More curves.
