  1. Those instructions look very comprehensive and easy to follow. Got to wait until I get home to try out. Thanks Mark. There was obviously a lot of work involved in this...I can see that!
  2. That's great news Mark. I'm waiting patiently too and looking forward with some excitement to having a go with this. Your work is really appreciated as I know how busy you are with other things. Thank you.
  3. That is breathtaking....as are all the images you post. Definately put me down for a DVD or two
  4. That's great! It had a sort of 'epic technology' feel to it, if there is such a thing Nice work indeed.
  5. I love it! Gorgeous backgrounds and great animation. Nice subtle use of squash and stretch on the tigers head which enhanced the acting. Going to watch it again now
  6. Wow! Those two clips are of the same very high standard. The character voices are, and obviously we now know why, perfect. The music and sound effects seem spot on too creating a totally professional whole. I guess your radio broadcasting experience is paying off here Was the music composed especially to the scenes? I'd like to know a bit more about how the music was created please.
  7. That's impressive! Very imaginative use of the Newton Plugin. Great character too.
  8. Angelo!! That was incredible Like Rodney, I was definitely not expecting anything of that calibre. Is it part of a longer film you are creating? I think Hash should get permission to put together a showreel containing all the stunning work that is being posted on this forum lately. Maybe even send it in to 3D World magazine for inclusion on their coverdisc or something. I'm sure they would include it. Wow! I'm really stunned by the quality of stuff I've seen on this forum this morning.
  9. Great acting! I like it a lot. Did you use this shot from the film as reference for your animation?
  10. ALL the models are beautiful satyajit. I'm hoping there is going to be a 'making of' of some sort on both this and your Hansel and Gretel DVD. I will probably buy anyway but am certain it would encourage even more A:M/CG animators to purchase. You alway do brilliant work.
  11. I can't add much to what's already been said except to say that I needed some motivation and inspiration and your work has given me both. Stunning!!
  12. It is getting complicated. I've never used bones for facial poses before so this part of the tutorial is very welcome. I'm going to give it a go Thanks David - I know this must have taken a long time to produce.
  13. It was the final part of the process (the setting of constraints) I had a few problems with when following the written tutorial - yes I know it's me!... So, from a totally selfish point of view I could do with the next part But, honestly, do whatever you think's best Rodney.
  14. I think there is a known bug in QT7 in Windows that causes it to conflict with some soundcard drivers. Certainly I haven't been able to use QT for a while now and David's tutorial plays without sound on my machine However, I created a DVD of it in my editing software which is much easier to follow and pause whilst working on my computer - and the editing software retains the sound Btw David, fantastic tutorial. Thanks for producing it and thanks also to everyone who had a part in creating the rig.
  15. That is just breathtaking! Incredible! Really well done.
  16. Fantastic looking model. Reminded me of Jack palance for some reason - the chin and nose area? Anyway, great. Is it for a film?
  17. MMZ Timelord - The laptop is an AJP. Lots of companies use the same case. The case is made by Clevo (I think) and is supplied to numerous manufacturers who fit their choice of components. Dhar - I loved The Avengers too. I know Ian was in 'The Cybernauts' episode. Like his Dr Who parts he would appear in several episodes as different characters. I remember him in Timeslip as he was a main baddie in that and really scared me as a kid! I did find this yesterday.... http://www.recons.com/biogs/fairbairn.htm
  18. Hi Paul, I didn't want to bounce any of it back to the top again - and I wish I'd started, and continued, just one WIP thread for the project. It's the 'Haunted House' film that we've been working on for some time on and off. Very ON at the moment
  19. This isn't animation but it is related to the WIP of our project and I just thought some people might be interested. I recorded most of the voices in our studio at work a few weeks back. However, I had Ian Fairbairn in mind to record a couple of voices. I decided to travel to his home in London and record there. Not ideal but it worked out fine and the quality sounds on par with the studio recorded stuff to me. Ian was in several episodes of 'Dr. Who' and 'Timeslip' in the 70's and also 'The Avengers' and other similar British series. [attachmentid=15573] [attachmentid=15574]
  20. Have you been drinking? A quick test (very quick) of the face controls for the spider. He does look a bit scary in this come to think. SpiderTest
  21. Thanks Drvarceto. Neither can I Here is a spider. He's only in a couple of shots so didn't want to spend too much time on him. Modeled in about an hour and a half in all. I've just got to adjust the hair a little I think. [attachmentid=15217] A QT spin here.
  22. The Flea's house. Not quite finished yet.
  23. Scott - I agree with your comments. I need the spots but toned them down. The shoes you are right about also so I will look into that also - I was just blindly following my original design A better image of the flea..... [attachmentid=15201]
  24. This is another character from the same film. I actually modelled (with a lot of help from Andy Gibbons at the time) a version of this character a long time ago. I decided to re model her to to more accurately resemble the version from the original 2D film we did years ago. A QT version here. [attachmentid=15199][attachmentid=15200]
  25. This is a flea character for our little film. There is a QT view of him here. It's coming together quite well now. The voice track is almost completed (I have one person yet to record) and a team starting to animate. We've been modelling mostly up to now. [attachmentid=15198]
