  1. That looks great Mark. I love the characters so far, though Spotts ears look a little thick around the top.
  2. Posted a new update that fixes a hiding issue HERE.

    STEP 3

Sorry I didn't get back to You Marco. I just posted the fix for this HERE.
  4. Ok, go to the top menu and choose tools>options>global tab and put a check mark the the show property triangle. You will now see a small triangle next to your models name. Click the triangle to see the "USER PROPERTIES", there you can delete the "Installation Poses" folder (hilight it to make it yellow and delete using the delete key on keyboard) and set the pose I mentioned to "NOT SET", by right clicking on the pose.

    STEP 3

Which version, four finger? I'll take a look.
  6. I update the first post of this thread with an image here. This must be done before exporting the model from the action. This is done in the models "USER PROPERTIES", not the pose slider window. Delete the installation poses in the "USER PROPERTIES" of the model see image in post #3 here.
  7. Matt, he used boolean cutters for the recessed lights and the vents.
  8. Thanks for posting this Steve. I'll have to take a look. Your hand gizmo is great and I'm sure this is just as good.
  9. First thing, I looked at the project file, some of your poses are not done correctly. Most of the poses are in the face installation. Eye translation in the Z axis is in the wrong place and the scale is incorrect. And the mouth poses could use some adjustments. (see images in STEP 6, they show the pose slider percentages). Your project file does not contain the model (JD_install) so I use the model I had for the action that is in the file, so I don't know if it is a problem with your model or not. You also had a few bones that had keyframes on them that I deleted. Before exporting I reset the "FACE off/Joint Controls/Split Controls" pose in the Animation Controls>Face interface to NOT SET in the user properties of the model, then exported model. Started new project and opened the exported model. Deleted the installation poses from the relationship folder and the user properties of the model, saved model. Translated the FACE interface Master bone using the translate manipulator while holding the control key down (this will translate the geometry with the bones), saved model again. Ran the install plug-in. I had no problems and had no exception errors.

    STEP 4

You DO NOT hide or unhide the bones in the PWS. You are suppose to use the on/off poses I provided in the pose slider window. I'll look at the project and see whats up. I just looked at your project, It doesn't seem that you are using the installation poses at all. You do not have to touch any bone what so ever in the action. The installation process is all done with pose sliders.
  11. mtpeak2

    STEP 4

Ok, first, you didn't hide the red install bone using the on/off pose. Next, you didn't hide the orange/green/white install bones using the on/off pose. Why the green install bones aren't showing, I'm not sure, did you hide them manually? The black finger install bones have a pose to unhide them under the black finger install bones in the pose slider window (see Davids post above). You don't need to concern yourself with anything other than following the pose sliders.

    STEP 4

Sorry Steve, I don't know what to tell you. This seems like a pc problem (low resources). Do you have alot of things running in the background?
  13. mtpeak2

    STEP 3

Is this the new update I posted yesterday? Check STEP 7 and make sure all the hide poses are turned ON.
  14. Posable version has been updated here.
  15. UPDATE_4 has been posted. this fixed a problem in the squetch rig.
  16. mtpeak2

    STEP 3

There's on/off poses that hide or unhide bones (hides them when done positioning). If you hide any bones manually, you will have to unhide them manually when you need them. That also may break the poses to hide/unhide them. What is so confusing?
  17. Hmm, something just doesn't look right. It looks too bright under the sink and the stool looks like it's floating. Too soft of a shadow?
  18. mtpeak2

    STEP 6

Update 2 was reset by me, with an update that fixed the problem you pointed out, with the rig being in the JD model already. There were only 3 DLs of that update before I fixed the problem. I also replied to your post, that pointed this problem out to me, and I stated to reDL it.
  19. I don't see any shadows, are they turned on? This will add to render times. You think ten minutes is bad, just wait. Reflections also add to render times.
  20. mtpeak2

    STEP 6

Update 3 has been posted to fix eye scale. This is posted in my first post of "GETTING STARTED" thread. Last one.
  21. Fixed eye scale.
  22. mtpeak2

    STEP 6

Something must have changed that I missed in the updating process for the eye scale. The scale was changed at one point (increased), but with the frequent updates, it never made it to the most recent changes.
  23. You don't assign cps to the light bone (it's a light) Once it is a child of the parent bone, moving the parent bone or model bone in the choreography, the light just moves with it.
  24. mtpeak2

    STEP 6

That should fix it, but what model are you referring to? The scale should work on JD if the poses were set to what I had. The next version I'll up the scale. This will be posted elsewhere. Any bone can be manually translated, rotated and scaled in the action window. Meaning, when translating the eye install, you can scale the bone if desired. (you need to make sure you are using the correct bone, though) Also, as I mentioned before, JD has very large eyes for the size of the head, if this is a problem in other models, I will change it as soon as possible. And since noone has DL'ed the latest version I posted, including you Rusty, this won't be fixed for awhile, if at all. Why should I fix something if noone is going to use it.
  25. I think jon hit it on the head, remove the design fron the top view and it should hide better. Still cpool.
