  1. As for now - count me in. Trying to keep busy lately, day-job-wise, and if I don't have to work that Saturday, I will be there. AM is just so amazing, I will never catch up, but I will try ! -- GAngus
  2. Nice looking start page. What's the plan ? AM only ? or just In General? What kind of knowledge ? Very curious here. An Outline perhaps ? How enticing it seems.
  3. When Apple created OS X 10.4 ("Tiger") they broke certain aspects of the system, which prevented A:M v11 working on it. It's not something you're doing wrong; it's not something Hash did wrong. Blame Apple. Yeah, that was a shock for me also, after upgrading to Tiger. However, the AM verson 13.on seems just fine on Tiger OS 10.4.8 here now. I have also noticed that most older projects & models "open" and "load" into 13.0n and when re-saved seem to surive ok. I also have a small PC Loptop that does all AM versions, so that fills in the gaps for me here for now too.
  4. Nicely done project there. Really quite inspirational.
  5. This whole immense project, only recently discovered by me (finally checking out his web-site) , just blows me away. As an old Star Trek fan, his ideas seem nicely fantastic and yet are highly original at the same time. BTW, and Rusty, please forgive me for jumping in here. I may be all wrong but that "pink" "Case/Stone" is referring to, is quite possibly what the ambient lighting might be like aboard a vessel such as this, especially on the bridge of a ship in the darkness of space. As a retired US Navy and serving aboard an old 1940's class Destroyer (Tin-Can) in the 60's, while running at night the only lighting available all over the ship were dark red lamps positioned all over at about ankle height. This was ample enough to get around with, yet allowed the ship to proceed along in the darkness of night without being visually identified and allowed for better night vision by having your eyes used to to the dark. I suspect this is what Rusty had in mind here. OK perhaps a little darker and little less "pink", but then the detail might get lost. Still, very nice indeed.
  6. Not sure what you've got there, but can't you just go to a side view and line up the cp's in the Z-plane and get what you want ? Else, how about a pic?
  7. Dennis, that is really quite good. I hope He will be around for the NYNJA meeting this sunday, so I can see how close you got him. jerry a.
  8. Glad you can make it. I'm in Levittown (northern border-near Hicksville) East Meadow School District Grad 1959! My first home when I first married was on Victory Drive in Lake Ronkonkoma in the late 60's. Dennis is in Holbrook somewhere, don't have any other details yet. See you then. Jerry
  9. The 25th is fine with me Dennis. I sent an email to you too, as I'll need the address etc. Great ... looking forward to that day. I'll be glad to bring any food or drinks too, any thoughts ? send me an email. jerry
  10. Dennis, the 24th or 25th is good for me, as I am geographically closer to you. But, for whatever it's worth, I would be glad to have us all meet at my house, which is 30 minutes closer for the city guys. We could pick them up at the Hicksville station and still have a BBQ here. Even if it has to be on a Sunday, the trip back to Penn Station is a breeze. Whatever, just trying to help. I hope JP will respond soon. It's still your call. jerry
  11. Hey Dennis, any saturday is good for me. Let us know if you have decided when would be a good day. jerry
  12. Oh, darn.......... Going to miss the April meeting. And thanks for the car-pool offer, Dennis. My annual fishing trip down to "the Keys" is happening. I'll be back sometime in May and see you all then.
  13. Is there a special codec for this file ? I get a quicktime screen with progress bar but to picture. HP Laptop, XP edit: that's NO picture
  14. Yeah, Froggy runs well, won 3 games in a row, after getting used to the controls. See you saturday...
  15. Yo, Dennis, Mike................ I am planning to attend again and will bring my new PC Laptop. It's not a top shelf unit, but I have the new game on it, and should be good for your demo. I can't wait to see the demo and perhaps learn about the steps involved in putting something like this together. Noon (or earlier) is still great for me, as the trip back out to Long Island makes for a late night. See you all then.
  16. Dennis...... That's a neat little game for the first try. For quick and simple it's quite a production. Lights, Action, Camera, Sound, it's all there ! Keep it up, your on the way guy. GAngus (jerry) (Club-NYNJA)
  17. Ahhh ... Another good meeting seems to be shaping-up. I'll be there too. NYNJA ... Cool !!! jerry
  18. Well, I have been trying out this new Rig and once I found out where things were (Nulls-controllers,etc.) what a fantastic innovation this seems to be. I have been working on my animation skills lately and things seem a lot easier with this type of Rig. My compliments to you David and all concerned. Thanks very much.
  19. Aye, Aye! Aye, Aye, Aye !!! I don' t believe this. This is like a [good] dream come true. Somebody, . . . . Wake me ! I can' t imagine a visit by someone more august than Colin. If I have to, i'll rent a Hum-Vee to get to the meeting !!! OK, enough, ..... Colin, you are certainally welcome to visit with us anyime. jerry A.
  20. I must say, I have enjoyed following this entire spider creation and what has been done with animating this guy. Nice relief -off the beaten path- of bouncing balls and teddy bears. Just fantastic stuff, I think .
  21. Well, I certainly have this date planned on my calendar. Looking forward to the next meeting for sure. JAngus
  22. Yes, the user group meeting was just great for me too. All the good conversation about A:M left me extremely inspired and I ended up working almost all night trying out some of the new ideas I learned about how to use Animation Master. It was just so great being around very knowledgeable and accomplished AM users and seeing examples of their work in Mike's mini DVD home theatre. I, also, would like to thank Mike for his very generous contribution of having the meeting at his place. Just a couple blocks over from the York St. F-Train stop in Brooklyn there. There could be another meeting there in a month or so and I just can't wait to prepare myself with a bunch of questions and bring some of my new stuff to show off and perhaps get some help with. For the very first meeting, I agree. It was a total success. As far as the future goes. My biggest problem with AM is how to get it to do, what " I " want it to do. I mean things like, how to Drag this here, drag that there, turn this off, turn this on .... etc, if you know what I mean ... Just as an idea, I propose that we could try a small project or two together sometime and get into the actual mechanics or the guts of AM and create something as a group and in the process, share in the learning of how to do it. Thanks to all who attended, it was fun and I am so looking forward to the second meeting. I am about an hours ride out east on the LIRR plus a $5.00 cab ride and sometime in the future could host a meeting too. Thanks, I hope to see all of you again, soon.. Jerry Angus
  23. Thanks luckbat, I'll be there. BTW, any place to park there if I choose to drive my car in ? or easier to just go with the trains. Thanks
