  2. Actually, it is Jean Chrétien former prime minister of Canada, who has this strange mouth "behaviour" because of paralysis. (modeled by Alain Desrochers) And yes both are easily recognizable.
  3. Hi Zach! I like your scene setup. Your lighting in that last render serves the story very well. Camera angle makes your clip interesting. I lke Shaggy with pants too. One thing in my opinion could be add is a little more "what happened?" in Shaggy's attitude before he looks in the direction of the ball. The jump of the ball seems just a little late. Very nice animation! Michel

  5. Hi hashers! I want to show a clip i made almost 2 years ago. Why now? Because i am starting something new with the same basic idea. In the meantime i gained a little more skill in animating, and i can do something with a more finished look. It finishes rather abruptly because it was just testing and i had no real plan. It was assembled in after Effects, but this time i plan to do it all A.M. Let me know what you think. Sorry it is Divx 10megs B.D.

  9. Very good animating! The timing with music is perfect! The transition is totally surprising!Is it intentional that each letter is almost lined up with a channel of lght? If yes, i would use it even more.(just an opinion) Boy, it must be fun to make a project like that! Good luck!

  12. Beautiful clip! I always like your lighting and feel for colors.Scenario is fun and original. Nice bubbles! (i recently watched your tutorial on particle systems). My only crit(after watching 20 times) or little thing that i think could have been added, is a little something happening in the aquarium, some earlier swift action that would justifie a little more the pause of the father. Great work!
  13. Hi Rodney! It is the first time i see this thread. Nice models! It might look odd in a robot thread, but i like one good character that i think was very expressive called Mags. And i also think the robot you built before you decided to quit for awhile is very interesting (kind of wonder why you wanted to quit then?). Happy robot year!

  15. Hi David! I did post some images today, and i have a slow connection too, and i hate waiting. Actually i tought i was posting a link to the image (my first image posting), and i still don`t know how to post a thumbnail link. More experienced users of forums don't do it, but the forum is growing. And 5 minutes... from Canada to Australia, that's a bargain. Hope the rest of the year is faster!

  17. Thank you Jamagica! Well, i did that actually, but my face isn't comic at all (oh well!) I am not that bothered with the quality of the poses, but i want to be able to introduce much more cartooney expressions.
  18. Hi! I have this character maybe some have seen in a couple tests i posted. Anyway i put up a fair amount of work in this head ( and i am pretty slow), and made a lot of muscle poses for the face. I made what i think is a common mistake by not so experienced users, the range of my poses don't go extreme enough. I have to go back in the poses and exagerate way way more. I would like comments and crits before digging in again. Also i would like tricks or advices on making poses with scaling included. I mean by that having the whole jaw area scaled up with an extreme smile, or a very exagerated drop jaw, or one orbit and eye area scaled up when questionning. I have tried, but got very poor results. And one last one. I would like to know what you guys choose to do when building a counterpart character. Deform your first character into a new character that is already posed, or building a totally new model. I am attaching a frame with a mesh and a couple of renders with not enough extreme expressions
  19. Hello Ken! I like it! Your camera framing is better. One thing that distracts my attention, is that the guy in the blue shirt seems to react to quickly, it is like if he is repeating a text he already knows. Also, he seems to be looking at a third person or the camera, when he is angry, that changes the mood of the scene, i think. Just my opinion, i am beginning to animate myself, and find it pretty hard to make a character alive.(I don't mind, it's so fun) Nice work!

  21. Very nice Doug! Very "telling" poses and good texturing. The only small crit i could make, is that there is a sense of depth missing for the table; it is hard to see where it stands in the scene.
  22. WoW! I love the old fashion look you rendered. Animation is fantastic, and i would think animating a fight with 2 characters, so closely interactive must be one very big challenge. Do you animate one character at the time, or do you keyframe them both at extremes, or is there sort of a main character while the other is more of a prop? ( I am just asking myself, i am not asking for a tutorial). The way the camera participates to the action is just awesome! The colouring of your scene is beautifiul! Will you have scenes at different times of the day? One thing i kept asking myself is which one is the good guy? Oh well even Anzovins have to make sacrifices. I look forward to see more.
  23. Hi David! That last image is very attractive. I love the colors and lighting, and your character is ... a character. I like the eyebrows, they should give a big range of expressions. I like what you have done with the feet. I prefer bigger hands though, they look like a little forgotten by evolution. Extremely fun overall.
