  1. Superb image, Rodger! When you say, "negative blue shadow clone", are you refering to a blue sun which points in the opposite direction or are you using negative values in light settings? Negative lights are something that I have never tried but I would love to understand the theory behind them.
  2. Wow! That is great, Stian! Some beefier sound effects, and more of a variety, would be cooler. Loved it though!
  3. The link above does not direct me to the correct movie for some reason. --------------------------- Oh, I see now what theKamps meant. Private viewing only.
  4. Ha,ha! Love that laugh in "perfect"! It's the female equivalent of Prince Farquart's laugh in Shrek.
  5. That's cool! 16 hours of professional dialogue, music and sf just waiting for the animation! That'll keep you busy for a few years.
  6. Wow! Brilliant, Angelo! Please give us some of the story behind this project.
  7. I'm impressed too! Especially the converter and importer.
  8. It might be better if you posted a jpg image of the render.
  9. Ha, ha! I love it Gary! You sourced some great sounds for that. The mystery tune sounds like something from a Gerry Anderson production and the alien sounds like Bill and Ben. Maybe some vapour trails would be fun, even if there isn't any vapour.
  10. Hmmm...it should work, RoyBU. Try deleting the path and creating a new one if all else fails.
  11. I would suggest that you remake your image and save it as a targa, preferably with an alpha channel for the transparency. I'm not sure if the black in your image is actually pure black, (0,0,0), and the absence of a colour picker makes it difficult to select the correct colour for the transparency. Maybe you should post a request in A:M Reports to add a colour picker to the image properties panel. In the meantime use the targa method and be sure to set the "type" property in your decal to "cookie-cut". ----------------------- EDIT: Actually, I just tried your image, (with key colour set to 0,0,0), and it worked for me, although there is a halo of dark pixels that fall outside the range. This is to be expected with jpeg compression. The transparency didn't show up until I rendered but after that it remained visible in the realtime display. So...just to reassert: Change the key colour, (image properties), to match the black part of your image and set the image type to "Cookie-cut" in the decal properties. That should do it.
  12. That was good! I liked the feeling of low gravity! Very reminicent of Zach Brewster-Geisz's, "Shaggy Attack". You should post this in the live action thread that someone started recently. They were looking for examples.
  13. Make sure that the "Chor Range", in the shortcut to your walk action, is set to cover the length of time that you want the action to be repeated and that the "crop" value equals the length of your walk cycle.
  14. Ah! Thanks for the clarification, Niels, and sorry for drawing attention to your misunderstanding! p.a.- For now and ever more shall mean - "Perhaps Anotherwayof sayingthisis..." Maybe you were confusing it wih N/A? (Not Applicable)
  15. This is all good stuff! I love all your compositions, Niels, and look forward to hearing all the other composer's, and performer's, work when it is released to us. Can you explain what, "p.a", stands for, please? I understand what you are saying but I'm just intrigued to know what it stands for . Thanks.
  16. Be sure that you are trying it in an Action or Pose.
  17. Thank you, Steve! I'm glad that I can bring a little bit of the Christmas spirit to you out in Oz. Something to help keep you cool as you approach your summer solstice. Thanks for the story.
  18. Oh, and a little misuse of the specular colour. ------------------------------------------------------ An early test that I did of reindeer on a path: [attachmentid=22898] A different santa and sleigh. It was just a really rough test to see what render times I could expect.
  19. If you intend to use the default ground plane and just want to change it's colour then just open the ground model's surface properties and change it's diffuse colour to something that you prefer. You could also apply a decal or material to it which would also allow you to change the colour. You could also delete the default ground plane and use your own, home made, terrain model which can be dragged into the choreography. The default sky colour in A:M is actually the background colour which is set up in your camera's properties. You could use an image on a layer or as a rotoscope in your camera. Or an image wrapped onto a large hemisphere, or skydome, which would give you a panaramic sky. There are many ways that you can approach it in A:M .
  20. Just a decal with the surface properties set to specular intensity=15% and specular size=70%.
  21. A 360 of the man in the red suit: [attachmentid=22866]
