  1. I've decided to try to condense everything I've learned into one short film. I took some screenshots of the project so far. I'm not done with the planning the animation yet. I've been teaching myself how to draw so hopefully I've gotten better. I'm not done with modeling the human character, as that's probably my weakest point. Please tell me what you think so far and what I could do to make it better.

Whoops. I did those exercises but I looked back and realized that did them half way through because I thought I had the basic idea of the lesson. My bad. I really should do all the lessons again now that I have a better understanding of A:M.

Is there a way to manipulate hair, rigid bodies, cloth simulators, via forces. I think I have heard of such a technique but I am not quite sure. Thanks, Jared
  4. 4. It's important to plan out your animations first. I'm no expert but I always find projects easier to first plan out story boards and rotoscopes. [Reference backgrounds]
  5. Looking very good so far Cross! My brother just bought a collection of all the Final Fantasy games including FF 7. It's like he's addicted to them now.
  6. Thanks for the tut Holmes! I spent about an hour of my day creating bizzar trees. I found an easy and effiecient way to make roots. I just create a seperate tree and flip it. Then I model the branches to slightly protrude from the island.
  7. I'm currently working on a short film, which I really should post on the forum, and I need the tree's roots to dig out and through the Floating Island. I've never seen any trees in the libraries, but I use v.13.0t.
  8. Hello everyone, I was wondering, is there a more recent version of the TreeZ plug-in than I'm using? I don't know which one I'm using, but it still has some bugs:
  9. Hey Ryan, Welcome to the forum, and the world of Hash! I'm also still trying to learn how to work A:M, but I would start with Tao A:M. (The Art of Animation Master) There you can learn some of the basics, and enable you to mave on to some more advanced tutorials. I'm just warning you now, the tutorials aren't in order of difficulty, so watch out for tutorial 6, 11 and 12. At least those are the ones I had problems with. Have fun learning, I'm looking foward to seeing some of your work, Jared
  10. Cool, I better google that! ^^
  11. Great job on the rigging!
  12. Looks good so far. How well does it loop? EDIT: I looked at them again and saw that they looped. ^^;
  13. Thanks a bunch Caroline!
  14. I'm almost done with the rigging, but I have one question: What exactally is control point weighting? I think it's the order in which the control points are moved in sync with when the bone moves. Kind of like the rabbit model where when you bend his ear, it slowly comes down in a curve. This is what I want to achieve with my character. Thanks, Masna

I love halo, yat I think this is a big project to undergo. You could probably find some reference photos on the net like the ones I attatched. You could probably make some decals with advanced photo manipulation programs like Photoshop.
  16. All done!
  17. Great project so far!
  18. Hi, a bit of an interception, but what game is that? I'm really into MMOs but I've never seen anything like that before.
  19. You could always build your model off of Mech rotoscopes (I'm sure thy're out there) and simply incorperate the 2001, rig.
  20. A quick update: I just have to tweak some more things:
  21. Exactaly! Thank you so much. Rusty: I'm getting my mom gifts too... I'm not that cheap!
  22. Hello everyone, As you all should know this weekend is Mother's Day. I won't be with my mom on Mother's day morning, so I decided to make her breakfast in bed anyway using A:M! BTW, does anyone know how to make a solid looking klieg? I still have to texture and add a lot more but heres what I have so far:
  23. Very cool!
  24. Very cool! I really like that song. What's it called? But that took 150 hours!?
