This really has nothing to do with A:M. It's about the avatar (if that's even what they're called) that is placed next to your name. I can't seem to find the setting to add an avatar to my profile. Are there certain specifications that you have to follow when adding an avatar? Thanks, Masna

rubberguy - training lessons for upcoming superheroes
Masna replied to thefreshestever's topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
Great animation! I love Rubbeguy's expressions. -
That's a cool article you found, John. It's very interesting knowing that the game's style originated from a french artist. Thanks for the help MtPeak. It looks like turning the fog off worked.

Thanks for the tip, Eric. I ttok your advice and used particles. The only problem i'm having is with rendering. Whenever I render the choreography form the camera view, the mountain is invisible. I took pictures of the rendering options. If anyone could tell me what exactly it is that i'm doing wrong, that would be great. Thanks for the help, Masna

Oh thanks, that would have been REALLY bad.

*Phew* I succesfully updated A:Mv13 to A:Mv13t. Should I now uninstall A:Mv13? Or should I keep it there just in case the new version crashes for whatever reason? Thanks for all the help, Masna

Thanks for the link Rodney... As you may have guessed from previous situations i'm horrible when it comes to anything having to do with the word "Computer". I found the file AM2007.EXE, but where do I save it onto my computer? I'm very hisitant to do anything due to the risk of me completely messing my computer and or A:M.

I'm having some problems with the lighting. Could you take a look at this shot and tell me if i'm doing anything wrong? All I did was set the camera background to orange and then it somewhat enveloped the screen.

Thanks Robcat, Do you know where I could get v13t?

I tried making the waterfall but I just couldn't find the right texture. I want to try to give the waterfall a flowing look which none of the DarkTree materials gave me. Is there a way to do this?

This has to be one of the stupidest questions ever but I can't find a post that I made on the newbies forum. It was about upgrading A:M from v13 to v15. I'm pretty sure the last one to respond on the post was robcat. I searched for it everywhere but I couldn't find it. Can posts be deleted? Thanks, Masna

My next Patapon project (using a Patapon styled terrain) will be the Patapons history. It's going to use some new Patapon characters and backgrounds. Hopefully now with spring break ill be able to work on for a while. Right now I'm just making the first chapter, depicting the once great Patapon army, now on the brink of extinction. But the great god Kami takes pity on the Patapons and takes them under his reign.

Wow! These models are great! I've always been a HUGE lego fan. I've always had the idea of making a lego mini figure but never got around to it either. You should continue with this project, it looks very promising.

Thanks Caroline. I have V.13 so the plug-in was built in. I didn't realize Darksim meant DarkTree. I thought it was some type of simulation.
-
I don't seem to have any DarkTree plug-ins. Do you know anywhere I can download it?

Hey Stian, I've been following this project for a while and i'm amazed by you modeling, decalling, lighting, textures. Maybe i'll be as good as you someday. Truly inspiring!

Thanks Caroline! This helps a lot.

Hey everyone, I've been doing a lot of playing around with decals but theres one reoccurring problem. I can't seem to apply a transparent decal (lets say I have a circle decal I want to apply to grid. I want the decaled circle to be white and the diffuse color of the grid to be green. I want the circle to be applied as a decal but still have the green on the grid evident.) I'm using photo shop elements so this question isn't completely related to A:M. Thanks for the help, Masna

Wow Paul, thats great! Hey that gives me an idea! I could make a whole world for the Patapons to interact with. It would be challenging, but worth it.

I'm not quite sure how to post links. But you can find it via the forum search engine. Type in game studio and your sure to find it.

Never mind.... I found Emilio Le Roux's epic tutorial.

I used the terrain plug-in, the lazy way, and I guuess I didn't take into account the density of the mesh.

I've been focusing on rigging, stylization, particle systems, I thought it was time I concentrate on something new for a while. I decided to try and work on terrain. The first thing that came to mind (for whatever reason) was an oriental mountain top with a small pagoda, a waterfall, and an enlarged looking banzai tree. I modeld and textured the mountain...now I need to find (or make) a pagoda, and somehow a waterfall. If anyone has any suggestions for making a waterfall or has a model of a pagoda that would be great. I doodled a bad drawing to kind of get the idea of the layout. Thanks for your time, Masna

I added some clouds in the background, your Ken, it does add a certain effect. I did't rerender the animation with the clouds just yet but I took a picture of it for you to see. As for the cut-out eyes, it was a good idea but when I tried it messed with all the rigging. Some patapons ended up with swords and axes sticking out of thier heads!
