killi Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 Here's a character I've been building very slowly while learning to model in hash. He isn't done yet due to other projects and having to earn a crust. Anyway way let me know what you think Quote
starwarsguy Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 Looks great. And you're right, it is a pirate! Quote
killi Posted November 20, 2004 Author Posted November 20, 2004 Well now i need rig him and model some pirate type stuff Quote
steve392 Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 yea looks a great pirate, Nice job so far Quote
ZachBG Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 Nice. Will he be animated? Care to share a wireframe? (And what's that effect on the floor? Weird!) Quote
Paul Forwood Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 Looking good, Killi! Hope to see more. Are you planning to texture him? Quote
killi Posted November 20, 2004 Author Posted November 20, 2004 Here are a few wireframe images I'd like to texture him and have started, but have little time at the moment. The dark patches on the edge of the faces is the start of teh face map. Modelling wise I'm trying to get that realistic but not too realistic look with strong facial characteristics. its getting there slowly. The effect on the floot I think I turned something on in the render or chor options by accident, looks kinda cool. Quote
hypnomike Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 Nice pirate, I can almost smell the rum! Quote
killi Posted February 15, 2005 Author Posted February 15, 2005 OK an update. I took a day or so out from the endless joys of web design to work on the face textures I may rig him when I retire. He's getting there but still needs some work Comments welcome. PS. Big credit to the maker of the uber eye whcih I've used. Quote
starwarsguy Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Great work! He kind of scares me, but otherwise I see no problems! Quote
killi Posted February 16, 2005 Author Posted February 16, 2005 Yeah he is kind of scary, When I get to rig his face i'll try and loose the cold dead look. An eye patch and feathers are on the way. I'm thinking of developing him into Queequeg type character. Quote
Mr. Jaqe Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 He's not a pirate, he's a super-cool, native-american, chubby pirate Quote
Zaryin Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Nice! Great work on that texture. That's something I will have to work on. Quote
J L Johnson Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Nice work there and that's a great texture job! Keep us posted on hm. Quote
killi Posted March 7, 2005 Author Posted March 7, 2005 A slight update He's getting there, may have some time son to finish him soon. Belly button definitely needs work though. Quote
Mr. Jaqe Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Pretty good, pretty darn good! I like 'im. The only thing Im... beeing picky about is his nose. It looks a bit thin, but Im not sure(may be the view, but Im not sure). Quote
killi Posted March 7, 2005 Author Posted March 7, 2005 I'll take a look at the nose, I'm really getting into this texturing didn't mean to take it this far I'm amazed how much it adds to the character for such little time compared to modelling that is. Quote
Gorf Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 I think you modelled his belly using mine as a rotoscope. Great work. Not sure about the white surgical gloves, though. They look out of place... Quote
