Here's a character I've been building very slowly while learning to model in hash. He isn't done yet due to other projects and having to earn a crust.

Anyway way let me know what you think

Nice. Will he be animated? Care to share a wireframe?

(And what's that effect on the floor? Weird!)

Here are a few wireframe images

I'd like to texture him and have started, but have little time at the moment. The dark patches on the edge of the faces is the start of teh face map. Modelling wise I'm trying to get that realistic but not too realistic look with strong facial characteristics. its getting there slowly.

The effect on the floot I think I turned something on in the render or chor options by accident, looks kinda cool.

OK an update. I took a day or so out from the endless joys of web design to work on the face textures I may rig him when I retire. He's getting there but still needs some work

Comments welcome.

PS. Big credit to the maker of the uber eye whcih I've used.

Yeah he is kind of scary,

When I get to rig his face i'll try and loose the cold dead look. An eye patch and feathers are on the way.

I'm thinking of developing him into Queequeg type character.

He's getting there, may have some time son to finish him soon. Belly button definitely needs work though.

Pretty good, pretty darn good! I like 'im. The only thing Im... beeing picky about is his nose. It looks a bit thin, but Im not sure(may be the view, but Im not sure).

I'll take a look at the nose, I'm really getting into this texturing didn't mean to take it this far I'm amazed how much it adds to the character for such little time compared to modelling that is.

I think you modelled his belly using mine as a rotoscope.

Great work. Not sure about the white surgical gloves, though. They look out of place... ;)
