nerrazzi Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 This character actually has been morphed into three different characters using the same mesh, this is one of them. I'm open to Q&C, maybe there's something I can add to make him look more like a klutz. BGI: His name is Eddie, he's the second oldest of three brothers that lead a life of crime by robbing banks in the 1960's. Quote
Mike Lium Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 great looking charcater, love his head/face. you said he is a morph , do the other bros look similar to him ? good job Mike Quote
Parlo Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 I like him alot especially his white socks and stylised features - how did you get the detail at the bottom of the shirt, it's a great touch? Quote
Obnomauk Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 I like the style here a lot. Nice design and the extra details like the shirt are great. more like a Klutz? Hmmm... untie one of his shoes? that's the first thing that comes to mind. dangling shoelaces.. very dangerous stuff. Elbow pads and knee pads perhaps. I think that the best way to make him look like a klutz, really, is to animate him so get cracking on that I look forward to seeing your progress on this. -David Rogers Quote
JTalbotski Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 Klutz, huh? He could have a bandage on his forehead. Or his fly could be down. Jim Quote
nerrazzi Posted October 9, 2003 Author Posted October 9, 2003 Parlo: With the bottom of the shirt, a lot of that is actually modeling the wrinkles in, also I created and applied a "crumple" material to it, so that helps. Thanks Obnomauk! Mike Lium: Yip, I morphed them using one mesh, here's are some examples JTalbotski: Great idea! Quote
Mike Lium Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 Yip, I morphed them using one mesh, here's are some examples Very Cool ! and very funny. great stuff Mike Quote
jfirestine Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 Very cool! Can we see some wireframe pics? Joseph www.be3d.org Quote
xor Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 They look like real losers. Since that's what you're shooting for, good job!!! The texturing to the faces adds quite a bit. Keeps 'em from looking too plastic (i guess that's the word I'm looking for). Good job. Lookin' forward to seein' them in action. Quote
Zaryin Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 I love the texturing for the character. I do think he looks a little too squished in the pic. Other than that, it looks nicely modeled and textured. Jeff B. Quote
Parlo Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 I really like all three characters. I'd make the sunglasses more uniform though, more like each other and more 'traditional' in style if you know what I mean. At the moment the extreme difference in the 3 pairs somehow draws attention to the fact that the three models were altered from one original. If all three of them had similar glasses it would accent the different shapes of their heads more. Sounds contrary but give it a try. Quote
nerrazzi Posted October 13, 2003 Author Posted October 13, 2003 I made him say cheese in this image... just getting his mouth shapes and phonemes in order. Quote

Dalemation Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 That`s a great character and impressive smile. I love the teeth and the gold one is a nice touch. He reminded me of the guy used to play keyboards in Sparks. Shaved his tash off though. Dale. Quote
zacktaich Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 I'm excited for this project. What will it be a short film? Quote
nerrazzi Posted October 14, 2003 Author Posted October 14, 2003 Hi guys... What will it be a short film? Yip, I've got it tagged for approximately 5 minutes, just want this guy to be as clumsy & odd looking as possible. Quote
ChrisThom Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 Very cool! From the side view the first one you posted has kind of an Agent Smith quality to him. Quote
