Neeblesquibb Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Okay... this was my first model right out of the box..... I have since changed my mind about the design (I am working on an independent production that will have animated aspects, and decided to try it myself) I feel it needs to be weathered.... so it doesn't look so shiny and new. And, I'm having some difficultied boning it so things don't overlap... the rockets are designed to rotate on the base, and revolve 360 around an axis, but they seem to turn off the axis at certain angle.... I would like to figure out how to "limit" their movements to one axis. You can't get too technical with me.... I will admit I'm more creative than technical. So.... whaddyathink? Got potential? Neeblesquibb Posted September 22, 2004 Author Posted September 22, 2004 Awwww, C'mon!!! What am I doing wrong????? It's simple enough! Just attach the file and BLAM, right? Why is it not working? All it is is a still... it's not even a movie! Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? Quote
KenH Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 I could download it to my desktop but Quicktime says it's a file it can't understand. Quote
Fuchur Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Why dont you just make a jpg-file, hm? *Fuchur* Quote
Neeblesquibb Posted September 23, 2004 Author Posted September 23, 2004 Okay..... after much deliberation and many crashes (coincidentally, can anyone tell me why I am experiencing SO MANY crashes????) Nearly every ten minutes the thing craps out on me! Anyway... here's the photo. Try not to be so impatient with me for taking so long when you critique..... I need to finish the cockpit, and a few other things, but so far here is my first model. Quote
johnl3d Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Nice modeling and use of lights on the model "crashing" you should mention on what type of machine Mac PC amount of memory video card etc and send it to support Quote
dark_ninja Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Looking good. Though, I would've loved to see it in action. Oh well. Quote
Paul Forwood Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Cool spaceship. I especially like the green lights and the ship itself reminds me of something out of Herge's Tin-Tin. It's got that 40's-50's sci-fi look about it. Quote
Neeblesquibb Posted September 25, 2004 Author Posted September 25, 2004 That was EXACTLY the look I was going for..... a little bit of Retro Future, like the zeppelins out of Flash Gordon. However, I have since forgone this design for a simpler UFO style.... more appealing to children, and more recognizable as a spaceship. However, i'll save this model, complete it over time, and use it at a later date. Quote
