Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted April 22, 2018 Hash Fellow Posted April 22, 2018 Is it possible to use BitMapPlus textures on objects that animate like characters do rather than just objects that retain a rigid form? Is it possible to make the texture stick to the surface as materials and decals do as the object changes shape? Quote
Admin Rodney Posted April 23, 2018 Admin Posted April 23, 2018 If I understand the question correctly I'd say the only way to achieve that for deformed/animated meshes is via baking. But this is a general restriction of material and not exclusive to BitmapPlus. If I'm reading too much into this and you just want the bitmap texture to stick to shapes animated via bones then I'd say 'make sure you have 'Global axis' turned off. But I can't imagine this latter one is your case. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted April 23, 2018 Author Hash Fellow Posted April 23, 2018 Yeah, I tried it both way but I get a weird, not staying in place problem. Quote
Wildsided Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 I'm not sure how you mean, but I've been using bitmap plus to texture stuff for ages and they've always animated and deformed as I expected them to. 1 Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted April 23, 2018 Author Hash Fellow Posted April 23, 2018 Yup, I've seen people using it and it being fine. Mine is on cloth. It mostly works but I'm wondering why it doesn't all work. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted April 23, 2018 Author Hash Fellow Posted April 23, 2018 Baking it will be a suitable workaround, for now. Quote
Elm Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 Can someone redirect me to a place where "bitmap plus" is explained? Greetz, Elm. Quote
