Admin Rodney Posted May 26, 2015 Admin Share Posted May 26, 2015 I know David Simmons was hit hard by one of these floods before. Is everyone doing okay in those areas?
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted May 26, 2015 Hash Fellow Share Posted May 26, 2015 Lotta water here in Dallas but I'm not in a flood area, myself. Here is some video of the Trinity river that runs through Dallas. Normally that is just a tiny creek in the middle of a greenbelt but on rare occasions like this it swells up to fill the high levees that contain it. If those levees failed it would be like New Orleans and Katrina downtown. https://youtu.be/P-DliqrCgh4

ernesttx
We got 13.5 inches of rain on Monday in Bastrop, TX and that's after 20+ days of on and off rain. Thought I was going that have to get a boat.
*A:M User* Roger Posted June 1, 2015 *A:M User* Share Posted June 1, 2015 I read online somewhere that something like 35 trillion gallons of rain fell on Texas. Does not even seem possible for that much ran to fall, too bad we can't pump some of that to California.

itsjustme
It was very bad in Wimberley (along the Blanco River)...lots of destruction. They are still searching for missing people.
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted June 2, 2015 Hash Fellow Share Posted June 2, 2015 Too bad we don't have a way to send some of this to California where they need it.
*A:M User* Roger Posted June 9, 2015 *A:M User* Share Posted June 9, 2015 No kidding, not sure how much they use per year but seems like 35 trillion gallons would hold them for a while.
NancyGormezano
Nah...we would just waste even more out here in the "supposed to be a desert" California ... I'm sure the troops that are invading Texas will find a way to bring it to us. As in 1 gallon milk jugs? or Beer cans? I've heard (haven't verified) that 35 trillion gallons would cover state of Texas 8 inches deep or 35 trillion 1 gal. milk jugs filled with water would stretch from Earth to our Sun 34 times
