Still needs work and cleaning up. Like around the neck there.

But a good start I think.

Big snake around his neck will help too. ;)

You're designing lots of cool characters! B)

The splining may even be getting better too.

I don't know who that is.

Ok now I need a bit of help/advice

I got him wearing a trenchcoat that when I animate him will stay still while his legs move.

I need the coat from waist down cloth so it will move away from the legs.

Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated!

The reason I asked for help is me and cloth are nothing but trouble. LOL

I just watched the flag tutorial again and nothing was near the same. no spring system, no cloth wizard, no simulate.

Generally, for cloth to even begin to behave usefully, it probably needs to be mostly pretty square patches. the long tall ones look unlikely.

On the other hand I've never tried it that way, so who knows?

Cloth is an advanced topic that requires enormous diligence and a love of experimentation.

so just hang it up and use a short coat?

seems the easy answer I guess.

would have been a cool look though.

There are people who have done long coats. Scour the forum for their accumulated wisdom and give it a try. I know it can be done, but testing, revising and tweaking simulations is for the exceptionally determined.

I will just go with the short jacket, but thanks. ;)

next step is his stage.

Decided to do the song "No more Mr. Nice Guy"

plus he has lots of props like guillotines and stuff. Should be fun designing.

Long render times though.

well I started my video and HOLY COW!

I am using hair and volumetric lighting and lots of props and render time for 60 frames is 24 hours!!!!!

This one will take awhile to finish but it looks awesome!

Nice character.

I am looking forward to this video :)

On the stage is a guillotine. At one point in the song I want him beheaded and the head fall to the floor and still singing.

Is there any way to do blood? It isn't a must but it sure would be nice if someone had a neat little trick I could use. ;)

I love Alice Cooper!

I think if he saw this he would love it!

I watch a Biography on him, and he moved up a notch in being cool.

He might just see it ;)

working on that.

Lots more work to do first.

render times on the hair were massive!

After all this time I had only 26 seconds of video, so I modeled the hair and

now have to start over but render times should be much better :P
