johnl3d Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 here's a 10 minute attempt using the weave image on the cd and the kci:dnd bitmap plus material included in 13 by changing the grid color your carpet color changes also carpet.zip furniture are props from the cd Quote
MattWBradbury Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 For dirty carpet, just add a floating patch with the dirty decal on it with an alpha channel as I did in this image: Quote
John Bigboote Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 I like Matt's approach! Probably renders faster too...but where's the ketchup stains? yeeeaaauuchh! If you are looking for a NEW carpet look...hair may be overkill. Learn to make a 'tileable' pattern and use patch images and a simple bump....think BERBER! Quote
thetanman Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 what are floating patches? and where can you find them? Quote
thetanman Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 matt, can you give descriptions on how you made that carpet?? Quote
