Mr. C Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 An AMV combining different artisits work and swicthing between scene. We would pick a song, then each do a little animation for it... still need to get my copy of AM back from my teacher though... Quote
Admin Rodney Posted April 14, 2007 Admin Posted April 14, 2007 Not sure what an AMV is Mr. C. I'm going to guess that peoples schedules are pretty tied up but if you ask (and you are asking) there may be interest. Just understand that between image and animation contests, TaoA:M exercises, ongoing challenges and current projects in the forum already underway... not to mention Tin Woodman of Oz interest may not be very strong until you post some examples yourself. I'd encourage new users to complete TaoA:M first before anything else. It may not sound like the most exciting project to tackle but its the best way I know to ensure success with A:M. Once you've completed TaoA:M... game on! Quote
mtpeak2 Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Rodney, I think he's refering to an A:M Video. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted April 15, 2007 Hash Fellow Posted April 15, 2007 The "Stereoscopic AniJam" incorporated such an idea and will be appearing in the upcoming MiniMovie Contest #5; keep your eyes peeled to see it. Watch all the entries, of course. Quote
John Bigboote Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Here's an idea... contact a small music label that will let you do one of their artist's songs...maybe even get a small budget, that way, once it's done it will be legal and the company would get behind it and circulate and support it. Just an idea. Quote

Or do what many people do (e.g. David Pogue for his New York Times videos, Anzovin Studio for "Duel"): Purchase a royalty-free song that includes rights to use it as you see fit. My hazy memory is Anzovin paid about $35 for the soundtrack song in Duel. You can find many sources online. Quote
clonewar12345 Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 I kinda like this idea, the only difficulty is getting people to stick with it. But if you get started on it hit me up! Quote
