Shazam3D Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Here is the camera's setup in 3ds max, may be help to fix your scene: Camera: lens=48, FOV=41,112 far range: 1000 DOF: 160 focal depth:100 Good luck Quote
the_black_mage Posted December 5, 2006 Author Posted December 5, 2006 is that in centimeters or....... and what us fov...field of view? Quote
Fuchur Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Okay... I had a look at it... I think it is a bit nearer to the template: Basicly I used a projection-map (spherical of course) with a bitmap and I used z-shadows to get a more blurred shadow. I cant figure out, why your "ground" doesnt seem to be textured right... here it seems to be okay. *Fuchur* -> Get the projectfile Quote
the_black_mage Posted December 5, 2006 Author Posted December 5, 2006 its perfect!!!!!!!!!! [attachmentid=22936] the template is fused with the render, note the layers shadow. also, fuchur i think your version is higher than mine, mines is version 12. Quote
Fuchur Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Yes it is made with v13, newest version available... Were you able to open the file? *Fuchur* Quote
Chad_Hunt Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 i got it open but your grid is streched on the plane, I started to make the temp and got good results but my wife miss carried our first baby so time have been hard here. I will see what I can do here getting that corrected. Quote

the_black_mage Posted December 8, 2006 Author Posted December 8, 2006 you know what i just realised, there are so many versions of A:M and newer verstion down't work with older ones, were gonna need versions for the older A:Ms right? Quote
case Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 LISTEN probly if you wat to keep working with old ones mage as in go back and forth working with both then yes! THE ONE THE ONLY CONNOR CASE! Quote
Fuchur Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 unfortunately he not ok with it yet, all i need to do is lower the hight of the decal. it should be done soon (as in hours mabe). You just have to adjust the "repeat"-value of your projection-map. That should be okay for you too. *Fuchur* Quote
the_black_mage Posted December 9, 2006 Author Posted December 9, 2006 well i only have v11-12 no less... Quote
the_black_mage Posted December 9, 2006 Author Posted December 9, 2006 hmmmm, i can't figure it out, i have no idea whats wrong with the grid.... the plane is perfect(imported as an obj, only the sphere was changed). but notice how one of the lines is in place and others seem not to match.... perfaps it might be better if some one else did it..... cfree68f Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Hey Mage.. try this.. it'll get it perfect and he'll never know. See if you can get a hirez shot of just the background grid. Then use that as your camera rotoscope (ie. backdrop. Then set up a plane as a reciever for the front projection and voila.. you'll get shadows and the background grid will be perfect. C Quote
the_black_mage Posted December 9, 2006 Author Posted December 9, 2006 yeah but it has to be accessible to others, some people put objects other than spheres on the plane. Quote
cfree68f Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 the way I said will allow any object on the plane. It should be accessible to anyone using any version of AM. C Quote
