the_black_mage Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 you know that sounds like me looking at an old drawing and saying "...you know...now that i think about it...THIS SUCKS!!!" good job >MAGE Quote
Bruce Del Porte Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 The lips and the mouth area are a big improvement. Nice job! Quote
always_a_kid Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Wow! It looks so much better! Fantastic! Good job! Quote
dude Posted August 4, 2006 Author Posted August 4, 2006 Ive Lightnend the skin, dose it look better? Ive also modeled his helmet. Quote
dre4mer Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Definitely an improvement, you got rid of allot of creasing and smoothed things considerably. If you could figure out a way to fuse his ear into his head mesh that would help out the ears appearance significantly. -Ethan Quote
the_black_mage Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 hmmmm, i kinda think he should have side burns for some reason... Quote
always_a_kid Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 I don't think he looks old enough for side burns. Quote
dude Posted August 4, 2006 Author Posted August 4, 2006 Hes a ( looks verry young) 18 year old. I didnt want to make him look old. Quote
case Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 his eye lids do them down just a bit i want to see him were he does not look like hes drunk 15 cans an energy drink lol Quote
the_black_mage Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 i don't mean big ones just small ones, i have them, but theres small. Quote
always_a_kid Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 LOL, I can't really picture a kid your age with side burns, Black. Though, I've noticed that most people's hair does come down a little further next to their ears, so maybe it would be good to make the hair come down a little bit more. The model is awesome, though. I like it a lot better than the first. Good Job! -Always Quote
dude Posted August 5, 2006 Author Posted August 5, 2006 I added well... not side burns but a tuff of hair to the side. I think it looks better because it covers up the fact that the ear is not attached. So i don't have to do all the work of ataching it. I think I am going to fix his "drunk look" by scaling down the extremeness off his eye lids. I will Post that soon. Thanks for all the very nice comments! I think A:Mers are SOOOO inspiring. -dude Quote

always_a_kid Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Somehow that hair seems to make him look a bit older, too. I can't wait to see more. Quote
case Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 faster than fast whiz aka dude races down modeling lane lol cool model tone down the eyes a little. a friend-darter Quote
Jeetman Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Ive Lightnend the skin, dose it look better? Ive also modeled his helmet. Dude/Whiz, The face still needs a bit of smoothing. Check out the attachments to see where I believe the problem is. Also, I agree with Case in that you need to either add eye lids or pull them down (if modelled) a bit to get a more natural look. It's looking good and I like the way you covered up the detached ear but the hair looks a little odd. His hair (in my opinion) should not protrude from under the helmet. He's wearing a military helmet so I'm guessing he's a soldier. The military would never let a soldier grow his hair that long. Keep the side burns to cover the ear imperfection but shorten the length. His hair in the back is definitely too long and you should get rid of the hair on his forehead that is sticking out from under the helmet. It's coming along really well so far. Keep up the good work Jeetman [attachmentid=19351][attachmentid=19352] Quote
dude Posted August 6, 2006 Author Posted August 6, 2006 Thanks Jeet! The face is now as smooth as a babys butt ( I've alsways wanted to say that ) I cut His hair to be about halfe as long. I think I'll make it a little longer. Quote

Mr. Jaqe Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 If he's 18... then where's his adam's apple? Right now, with the shortened hair, he looks more like a 14 year-old that has yet to hit puberty. I believe an adam's apple might fix that. Otherwise, I'd just like to say that you've made great progress since your initial take on the guy and the helmet looks great. Quote
case Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 well lol if you want to get into it then go ahead and make an adams apple all this hair crap is confusing.when you go in the army you have to shave your head logicaly anyway cool so far but come on the hair was fine Quote
dude Posted August 8, 2006 Author Posted August 8, 2006 OK I've been working on making him look a bit older, I brodend his chin and changed his exprestion. I've also added the battle version of him. What do you all think? Quote
always_a_kid Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Awesome! I love the battle version. However, the adam's apple looks bit funny. Other than that...good job. Quote
case Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 wow blue to green eyes hmmm anyway yeah it looks like a lumped part of a screw up by the way you may have wanted this but his ears look wierd to me they dont have the curve Quote
always_a_kid Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Hmm...I think I like the green eyes better...they match the helmet....lol. Darter, what are you talking about? What sort of curve in the ears? I've seen ears like that before. Anyway, that model is looking good. Quote
dude Posted August 8, 2006 Author Posted August 8, 2006 I didn't quite understand that case And I also like the green eyes better. Anyway I've been working on making him look older. ive thickend the neck and changed the shape of the chin. Dose he look any older? Quote
case Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 forget i said it well in a way he does look a bit older a body may help lol Quote
always_a_kid Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 WOW! He looks older...good job...the throat still looks a bit funny though. Quote
always_a_kid Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 LOL...he does look 18, and if i squint my eyes and tilt my head a certain way, he looks a bit like my older brother. Quote
