jamagica Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 The topic description is the basic phrase that is in the bot's head. Tell me if you can see he's thinking that. Videos Just click on the link that says "a little animation to make my bot come to life" and watch.... Quote
bentothemax Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 looks good . . , but its kinda hard to see . . . could you perhaps put up a 3 quarters veiw? I think your initiative to become a better animator is paying off Ben Quote
jamagica Posted July 3, 2005 Author Posted July 3, 2005 If you want a 3/4 view it'll ruin one thing: it won't look like he's hiding as much Quote
Admin Rodney Posted July 3, 2005 Admin Posted July 3, 2005 Very cute! I like him. You've got some great looking movement there. It really gives your bot character. Quote
Guest jandals Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 He looks surprised. Not quite scared. If he crouched/cowered more it might look more like he's afraid. Quote
Dhar Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 The movements look good. Nice anticipation. The hiding part didn't seem convincing to me. It looked more like that's where he wanted to go rather than someone going there to hide. If bot looked left, then right, then a small blip to indicate "ah! there's a good place to hide" and then proceeded would have been better communicated. Appealing design overall. Quote
Vash Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 The eye blinking was very nice and intriguing. I never thought by previously viewing your model that you would decide to do that. However that movie looked like 4 polygons per patch. Would a full render take too long? If not I would like to see a full rendered movie of your eye-bot. Quote
jamagica Posted July 4, 2005 Author Posted July 4, 2005 Alrighty guys...I got a high quality..it's the same link on this page: Videos Quote
Dhar Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 Oooh! That looks good. Love the shininess. Much better Quote
Scottj3d Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 You've got the movement down really good. I tend to be drawn to the legs, they move so well! Quote
Stuart Rogers Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 He looks surprised. Not quite scared.A slightly confused. If he crouched/cowered more it might look more like he's afraid. Some bending of the spine (with a tilt of the hips) would be able to give a sense of cowering. This would also allow you to put a little trembling in there. Quote
