Mars city approach

Recommended Posts

OK I admit it, I just had to play with the sweeper plugin. One thing led to another and before I know it, I wind up with this.

NOw I just got to add a domed city at the end of the tube , moving cars and a couple more tubes. Oh yeah and spaceships.

That's cool from a Sweeper point of view, but a technical nitpick...

Would you really want the track to be that curvy? I would think in the early days of Mars if outposts are spread far around the planet, you would want to be able to travel fast, meaning a straight track.

Also, having it that curvy also seems to defeat the purpose of having risers underneath.

I know - too nitpicky - it is a fun use of the Sweeper. But I know that I would make the tracks as straight as possible since there aren't any obnoxious county folk or anyone to get in my way yet.

Anyways, carry on, nice-looking picture.

stuff like this is simply supposed to look cool...no one really cares if its realistic or not

(unless you really want it to be realistic of course, which is kinda rare when it comes to this kinda stuff)

yeah it's all procedural textures.

As for the curveyness originally i was planning on having it be curving around a canyon but I got tired of not seeing the ground.. Now i'll probably just put a launchpad in the middle to justify it :)
