  1. I know what that is. You're using a klieg light aren't you?
  2. Yeeeahh...I think I gave up on that , though I'll post a pic of what I was working on. There was gonna be a retro-bot and modernized looking robot, sorta to signify the advancements made in AM, yet how it keeps its own traditional values and those of the art of animation itself.
  3. Well, you're off to a much better start than I ever have, so that's good Good luck on the project
  4. What version do you use Mac or Windows and is it V16, cause I was having issues with the pop-up menus in V16 for Mac, I think I reported it though
  5. The Art of Illusion. That's what makes film and animation so interesting IMO, but anyways, I sorta hijacked this thread, sorry
  6. Gotcha, yeah, I had just looked up when that shot occurred, still, interesting nonetheless
  7. That would be interesting. There's also a couple instances where he puts his hand through the hole, like Mr Incredible did with his suit
  8. OH OH OH!!! I been meaning to say this, I remember a while back Robert, you said something about not seeing anyone put on a coat or anything, I don't remember the thread, I know it was a simcloth thread, but that's about it. Anyways, was watchin Christmas movies and saw the Polar Express and the main kid puts on his night robe thingy. Just thought I'd mention it Probably was very complex to do, I dunno, but yeah, tidbit of the day I guess
  9. Well, maybe I'll whip up an ELZ thingy or something, or finish my retro-bot, or both. Though if I do ELZ, I'd have to re-model a couple characters
  10. Unfortunately I get no splash screen One downfall of the Mac subscription. I was working on a retro style robot for this, I dunno if I'll keep up with it or not
  11. Goin up against heavyweight champion Marcos, heck no!
  12. Yeah, I definitely fall into the category of those who don't think their creation is worthy

    3ds file

TBH, I can't remember if you need to copy the entire folder, or just the app. I think it's just the app

    3ds file

Yep. You don't have to install or put in the registration number. Just make sure that it is titled like AMV15 Copy1, Copy2 etc. It can't be named the exact same thing or it conflicts with the original and doesn't know which one to open

    3ds file

You just create multiple copies of AM in your applications folder
  16. Ha ha, well TBH, aside from my forgetfulness, french was considerably easier than english because unlike in french, english uses the same word for like a dozen different things
  17. I know, it's such a vivid story, like when the eclipse starts, seriously, I don;t think I took sunlight for granted ever again. And after reading the novel, my goodness, I think I became a bit more scared of the dark! But yeah, I'm kinda working up some thumbnails for my next scene with the eclipse beginning and the fires and stuff, should be an interesting lighting project
  18. I used to be good at french, but on summer break one year, I quite literally like forgot all my conjugations and then I just happened to take french immersion for two years after that, but never went back over what I had forgotten, so it was a bit difficult for me until I finally dropped out of french in Grade 12. I also dropped out of music, but unlike the french, I was very disappointed by that
  19. Makes sense Mais oui, mon cher, mais je ne sais pas comment on épele "aiguë" only don't know the word epele, not bad for not having spoken french in 2 or 3 years
  20. Also, wouldn't animating a gradient mat accomplish what you want?
  21. This is something I ran into with doing the Midnight's shield effects, however, my workaround was simply compositing. Render out only the object that needs the effector and render different layers according to their depth in the scene and composite them back together. It worked for the Midnight's shields at least
  22. Don't forget TGA seeing most of us use TGAs quite frequently
  23. Yeah, it's very good. I also quite enjoyed the novel which was written some years later. A lot of people seem to be in a bit of a fuss about it though as they think it's anti-climactic or something, I tend to disagree Thanks, I just hope my next one comes out as good as I'm still not entirely sure how I envision the city in the distance, but it should have cool lighting
  24. Whipped this up after re-reading (for the like millionth time) the short story Nightfall. I also have another piece in mind that's considerably more intensive and it would be when Nightfall is actually occurring and I'm thinking of having Theremon looking out from the observatory with the other scientists at the city burning in the horizon and the mob or something coming to attack
