lookin good man!
-
seriously man, you've gotten much better!
-
also see you used an enviromental map(or a back ground image) as well...
and tanman the lady bug still needs specularity man...
-
Lookin good to me!
-
what about the light positions? if the position isn't right the effect is wrong in the render....
did you have the oren-nayar plugin shader on?
-
this image might help on your grass settings...
i guess if the glow thing didn't work then try phatso's suggestion....
adding a sense of time rather than mid day...theres lots of effect you can get...but with this scene you can go as abnormal as you want to!
and your material settings are just as important as you lighting
also one more thing i just noticed, on a lady bug the head and legs are connected to a base body so in other words the legs and body should have the same material....
-
totaly!
-
really? how?do you mean the prj file?
-
lookin good dude!
btw i totaly know what i'm doing with this! i'm goin for realism man....
-
cool man nice job !!!!
-
ok like i said the above light isn't really working for me....
but the scene does look nice!
but the specularity is too low making it seem like an evening or early morning scene in which the tone would be diffrent.
but most of the time for out door scenes a glowing outline is used...
kinda adds a beauty effect...
heres a project file if it helps....
-
Make that your last step, i think its fine though...
-
can i see a chor image of what you did with the lights?
and also to fix that horizon(the sky hitting the ground back there) thing...add more grass or add trees...you gotta do some thing to cover it up....
-
goto tools at the top then options, after that goto render settings. then turn on Depth of Field, after that hit ok. in the chor you should see purple squares on the camera(not the ones in the camera view), one is for frontal blue the other is background blur. cluck the squares to determine when the blur starts also make sure that the main square(the middle one) is centered on you focus object...then have both purple squares just hitting the ladybug...after that do a render, the further the object the more blur. after you do this you can focus on the bugs detail and not the backgrounds...
as you see the image in my last post have focal blur hitting the ladybug a little, you don't have to do that but just do what ever you think works....
-
cover up that horizon line in the back ground.
try adding focal blur to the back ground
the shell has no specularity(i believe it should)
the material on the grass is nice
like i said be more creative with the lighting...
don't bother with radiosity, i know it can make some nice renders but personally i think the scene is too cartoony for it...you have v13 right? you could use AO, that can always spice up render.
don't use a sun light use a big kleig, and use smooth shadows, if you get dark areas use low intensity bulb lights to lighten them.
also heres a similar image you might like...
-
btw, you have made sure all the images are in sync right? if one image is diffrent from another it could cause confusion. you can stretch the images to fit the size which is what i do...
-
goto this site you'll find alot of stuff there...
in case you miss the link...
http://www.kci-group.com/z/plugins.htm
hope it helps...
-
MAN DON'T DO THAT!!!! it took me for ever to stop looking at it....
-
well look at this way, every thing doesn't need to be connected(thats how i see it)...also some plugins would help...do you have the primitive plugin?
-
Also, nice model Mage....is it yours?
yeah it is, i made it for the mario project, the arms are a bit long though....
if you want modeled grass all you have to do is make one curved blade of grass copy/paste/ and rotate it a few times then add it to the choreography multiple times....
-
hey man, you know my render has improved since your last model....any chance once your done with this i can do it again?
just ask'in...
sweet car though, looks like fun...to model and drive....man i really need to get my permit...GAH I WOULD HAVE IT NOW IF IT WEREN'T FOR THE REQUIRED 40$ DRUNK DRIVING CLASS!!!!! I WANNA DRIVE T_T....
-
so you finally get a chance to work on this a year later?
like i said before you still rock and i still suck at monsters lol , but i'm pretty much good at every thing else now...
-
dude i told you man the bust(or chest or any other form of the word) isn't right...
-
yeah dude, I've actually gone from A:M to Maya smoothly lol! you relate things to how they work in your other program right?
sweet model though! what program did you use btw?
