A:M Bench 2017 – Benchmark for Hash Animation:Master
Madfox replied to Fuchur's topic in Animation:Master
Thanks for your answer, Robcat. I am not in doubt the program doesn't work. I just come to the conclusion the pre settings don't work on my computer. I can do all as you showed in the video, untill 1:16 start rendering and then the program hangs on my computer with the rare warning. I don't think it is a case of wrong directory as I tried three different drives. Things I am more curious about is why the first benchmark gives me 19 minutes time ( the program does work, or should I say on verion 16 terms). That was my original question. As even the benchmark without presettings give me a time my old computer couldn't catch. So the render time has sized. The teapot render does not work because of the presetting parm ( I think), but it just could be something in my Win10Pro version on my computer that won't accept the presettings. 🤔- 42 replies

A:M Bench 2017 – Benchmark for Hash Animation:Master
Madfox replied to Fuchur's topic in Animation:Master
It does save files, as long as I don't use the presettings. It causes a version conflict. I don't know what these settings are, as they are not traceable in the edit window. But that was not really my question. I wondered how it comes the other benchmark gives me 19 minutes, while I am on a way better computer than 2014.- 42 replies

A:M Bench 2017 – Benchmark for Hash Animation:Master
Madfox replied to Fuchur's topic in Animation:Master
Hi! I just bought a new computer. A rather large one with a good videocard and 128G RAM. My last benchmark dated from 2014 on WinXP pentium and had a result of 20min. So I thought let's do the benchmark again and see how much it differs. To my surprise I come to 19min45sec. Now I ask myself, how can a computer that is made 15 years later come to almost the same results? For clarefying: I can't find anything back from my former posts in my folder. No images, movies or whatsoever. They were there a few years ago. Like my benchmark from 2014, it is just gone. Here are the specks of my new computer compared to the old one. And no, the AMversion on winxp was 2011. 🙂- 42 replies

After installing AM.V16 on my new computer WIn10 64b I can't write out avi files. For some reason it gives me a stream error : AVIFileCreateStream Error : C:/ProgramFiles/HashInc/V16.0/Libarys/indy_thom.avi I see the counter runs on, but the file gets jammed. I never had this error with the program. Does anyone encounterd this before, or is it Win10 Pro that blocks up. Some avi files play, other won't because of a codeck.

Not sure what to do now. I sended the "your_host_id.txt" with serial number to support@hash.com with my serial numb. It must be out there somewhere, as it the second one I sended from 22 december. As I did on "@jason Simonds". I will try again.
-
Well, let me wish all Animation Master users a happy new year! And wish the electrip sheep users a good night computer. (I hope Jason will stop counting them).😴
-
I have sended my "your_host_id.txt". Does it take long to receive my confirment? 😊
-
Thanks Robcat and wildsided. I'm not familiar yet with windows10. Waiting to get confirmation of my "your_host_id.txt".

My computer has win10pro, the :"get-host-win_id.zip" is reported as unsafe. I did download the prog and returned the "your_host_id.txt" by email. The second email I received is probably the return of my first attempt to activate it with the cd seriall code.
-
Well.., it isn't that simpel as it seems. First :I can't download the "get_host_id_win.zip" as it is identified as not save. Second: the email I received indicates "you are not awaiting validation for a lost password request". I didn't lost my password. I wonder what to do now.

Hey AnimationMaster.., I bought a new computer and thought: let I install my AM.V16 on it. So said so done, but when I want to activate it, it says the account is already used. And that is logical, as it was used on the older computer. How do I solve this case? 🤔

found a horse model thought it might be good to pull a sleigh

I have some muybridge pictures for a horse motion. Easy to use them as rotoscopes. Six pictures of gallop, trod and canter. horse_action.zip -

Thanks for your attention and reply, Roger! I started modelling for Quake since 1999 with A:M 0.8. I found it a nice job to do, as it gave me much pleasure modelling these creatures. Quake has a low poly count of 1000tris/2000 verts so making things comes down to work as simple as possible. This looks easy, but isn't. To get the most expression while being limited is a rare task. I used the devil lady from the EXtraData Cd Conquest, simplified it and gave it a fork. The catlady is from a womanmodel with a whip. Both I adjusted with the dynamic constraint. The whip lash was a more complicated part, as it needed different settings for gaining the elastic mode. The blinking is because I used gifs, and some of them just come through the right way. Maybe the files are too large to expose. I tried to replace them with better ones. Most of the models are used in game with fully extentions. They ride beautifull in the Quake contex. The fun part is that this game has a lot of input. There is a part of mapping, creating a world with polygons, and then shaping them up to large environnements. A perculiar nice thing is the light setting, that gives this "worlds" a realistic glow. Then there is the part of making these creatures, that walk along in these created shapes, and have the nasty abillity to fight the player, as he is in a world that isn't his own. At last there is the coding part that is quiet abstract, to change the game and alter these creatures to give them challeging properties, as well as making the game parms different. I could show you some scenes there are made with them in one of my maps. I just have to dig into the archive to see what I can find. I took the map "FourFeather" that is commented on a good way by "The Quake Grave", someone that makes demo's of levels and has a special touch of giving his way of playing the level. He did this on more levels and is really good at it. I took the title from my own special favour of "Three Feather Waterfall", an old animation of Gerry Anderson, which was my favorite in my younger years, and also the one who encouraged my taste of making animation in general, like "The Thunderbirds". Another one that kept my attention of making models for in AnimationMaster.

Here's an example how they look in game.

well.., let's say it was the main reason I bought Animation Master. I just can't get enough.😊
