  1. Cool! As good as allways!
  2. Hmm, thats getting closer. But, is there a way to make a "rings on water" effect? Maybe with a material? Edit: I mean; my shield looks abit like glass and when something hits it I want it to look like rings on water. Like when you throw a stone in water. Thanks!
  3. Hi all! I have made some spaceships that I have made shields for. And I need an effect when something hits the shield. Any ideas on how it should look? I have thought on a "rings on water" effect. But more ideas would be great! Thanks!
  4. Well, I don't think it's a Drug because the song was at first a lullaby for kids. I still remember my mum singing it. And yes, I'm Swedish but I liked the song. johnl3d: Looks great! Keep it up!
  5. Thanks for the coments! I don't seem to have the velvet shader. I only got Skin, Oren Nayar and Gardient there but no Valvet. [attachmentid=23276]
  6. Valvet Shader? I don't think so. I don't even know what it is.
  7. Hi all! I have just finnished a fast model of my favourite fruit: The Peach. It lookes okey but comments are always welcome! [attachmentid=23247]
  8. I must say it looks great! But i still miss a little refraction. Maybe just try so set it REALY low, like 1.01? It might give you the right effect. I don't know where you've got that information, but 1.07 is way too low. 1.5 is a good for ordinary glass. >> I got that from one of my older posts, but I also think even 1.07 gives to much refraction. Especially in round glass objects. //Emil Sweden
  9. One thing I see is that Index of Refraction is way to high. If I'm not misstaken then 1.1-1.15 is often recomended but i used 1.07 in my glass. This is going to look god when it's done just don't give up. //Emil Sweden
  10. If you want, then you can try to set tansparency to >95% then you will get clear glass. But to be sure, please post your settings. //Emil Sweden
  11. Hi! Nice start, but there can be some improvemnts. It seems like there is low transparency, crank it up abit and use Index of Refraction with that and you can get awsome glass. This is one I made, but is isn't finished yet but you can compare to atleast. //Emil Sweden [attachmentid=19445]
  12. Hmm, sound dificult but do you got any pic? //Korken
  13. Hmm, just got one problem. What shall nuber 2 be? Any ideas? //Korken
  14. Ok! Thanks for the coments dudes! This project is completed and stored for all who wants it, just tell and it is all yours! 1st of many... Status: Complete 2nd of many... Status: Started //Korken
  15. I don't have anyone infront of me it is 100% fanasy flashlight. The LED is blue in that pic but I have tested red, white, yellow and black. I've tried to make it look on and off to but I can't get the right feel to it. Yes, the bumps on the front is a bumpmap. //Korken
  16. Is it like this you mean? I also added a light source. Crits plz! //Korken [attachmentid=13839]
  17. Thats right. A LED flashlight doesn't have a lens it's just that little trhingie that have a very strong glow. robcat2075: Ok, I'll try it! Eric2575 It is one of many small things I'm about to make to get more skill with A:M. And thank for the coments! //Korken
  18. Hi all! Tell me what you think about my Chainring Flashlight, all crits are welcome! And how should I get the LED to look more realistic? //Korken [attachmentid=13823]
  19. Thanks for the encouragement it was to great help and I'm right on something EASY to make almost like starting all over again. And now! Name everything that you can think off modeling! I've made a document where I will put lots of sugestions and number them from easy to hard so I can get better in steps. So just post everything you think or see of around you! And again thanks for the "AM Psychology 101"! //Korken
  20. What I mean is when I come to a point when I can't get the right feel to some thing. Ex. I made a glass a long time ago but I couldn't get the reflections right. The bending of light was upsidedown and even with all the help here I couldn't get it to work. And after 2 weeks of try and error I gave up the project. The same with my draconian. It was my pride until I realized it was looking sortof "odd" in some way. This I haven't given up with yet but it seems like: How much I ever pull points I can't get the right feel. But I'm destined to get it to work! But until I can see the "wrongs" in it I must model/animate things to gain more skill. This wasn't much of an explanation but you maybe understand why I get this feeling, all must have had it in some time of their A:M carrier. Well, yes. But the only thing I can do (rather good) is mechanical modeling (was very proud with my rear suspension I made ). But what I want is to make anime and almost-real-looking characters. That is my dream with A:M. But as I said I must get more skill to make things right. And about v12, v13 isn't it easier to get nice cloth? The one in v11.1 is kinda "buggish" and goes threw things. //Korken
  21. Hi all! I love modeling/animating but I never finnish stuff because I come to a point where i realize I'm not good enugh with A:M. So what I ask is this: Say some easy stuff to make! Anything, dosen't matter what is it. Just so I can get a nice touch with the program. (I have done all the tutorials.) And one more thing, is it worth upgrading to V13? I'm running v11.1 now. //Korken
  22. Very nice!! Could you post wireframe? //Korken
  23. Hurray! You continued with you draconian! Only thing I can say is that the teeth do indeed point to much backwords other then that... It's awsome! Can't wait to see it complete! //Korken
  24. Yes, but if you look threw a reel wine glass, you'll see that it isn't up-side-down. That is why I get so confused because AM calculates the rays and gets it wrong (?!). And by moving it up and down didn't help. But thx for the try. //Korken
