  1. 5 planes down 1 to go (at least according to plan)
  2. That is just awesome. That covers the d12, the d6 and d4 are easy, The D8 doesn't look too bad to make. I am just a little stumped on the d20, and the d10. then I can have a full set of D&D dice.
  3. well done. I agree with many of the previous posters that the room is too clean. I also feel like the walls between the stalls should be thinner (about 1" thick) with a monochromatic paint scheme. It would also be great if the grout was darker on the floor, unless you want the room to look new and clean. Remember a little graffiti goes a long way.
  4. Here is the newest aircraft, it was supposed to be white, but it looks more silver, I like it though so it stays silver.
  5. As long as low res is the goal and its going to be textured anyways, couldn't the crease at the edge of the mask be handled as a texture map, as oposed to actual polys? Looks great in either case, I just have found smoother surfaces tend to be easier to texture and get good results. also when it comes to dumping polys for the hair you could model three or four strands on either side and model the rest as a blob.
  6. Here is three of the racers in one shot, three more are planned
  7. here is another test render of the planes including front and center my newest. no26swoop1.zip
  8. You know something I spent weeks on, but am still not satisfied with my result is peeling paint on wood, this is my last best effort, any thoughts? I am not satisfied with how it looks on the curved aspects
  9. one of the key things with those free webspace accounts is that most (all that I have found, but there could be one I don't know about)will require you to link to a html page as oposed to linking to the file directly. The is acceptable, but know that you have do it. It may save you some heartache later.
  10. The difference between the two reels is subtle but crucial the second one feels so much more professional, If I was going to add anything I might consider some sot of gas or dust release when the ball is dropped initaily, or some sort of volumetric effect on the projection when it first lights up, but not both. But I am very impressed the effect is very good.
  11. Its funny, but everyone I have shown the two planes to has liked the black one better, they say it is more space age. I still like the orange one (so much that I have rigged poses for all the control surfaces and corresponding controls), but it shocks me how much people prefer the black. On that thought does any one have any ideas as to how to have a black model that still can show shadows on itself? do I need to increase specular size to something ludicrous? or should I change it to grey?
  12. The afterburner is a streak emitter with a particle size of .6m with a transparancy that changes over time to 0% after 3 frames. Glow is set to on the smoke trail is a different streak emitter with a 1.2m particle that fades in after 4 frames and fades out after 5 seconds
  13. Here is another one of the racers I plan on using, Still debating on what color the number should be.
  14. here is a similar view to the my preivious afterburner shot
  15. I like this guy, one thougt ith his cartoony apearance don't be afraid to float his eyebrows off the face surface and hover them just over his eye, it would make them more expressive without worryin about clipping in poses.
  16. I like the neck, (I am Never happy with my necks), but I feel that If you are going for realistic the cranial size seems a little small (unless he is a cave man), and the crease between his pecks seems a little deep. other wise excellent. work
  17. A little rework on my afterburners and smoke and now I am pretty happy with the effect next to creat more racers no24loop1.avi
  18. This is what happens whn you try to make an afterburner effect without taking the aircrafts speed into consideration no24flyby1.avi
  19. your spot with the missing patch looks like a spot to put in a 5 pt patch to do it click on each of the five points and the icon that looks like a pentagon should activate, when you click it, the patch will be made. Also I don't think you uploaded the film you think you did, I got a short video of two balls falling and bouncing a little
  20. I'm tryng for an afterburner effect (and play v11 hair) and I feel like my fter burner looks like fiber optic fur any thoughts
  21. thanks Bill I knew there had to be a method that didn't invole using my text editor Nate
  22. Something that might really help would be some horizintle stripes placed irregularly in both light and dark colors
  23. Is there a good way to delete a pose slider? I seem to be having problems relating to some that I have added, but when I try to delete them the program crashes.
  24. I does seem a little round but the cockpit is smaller than it looks and the roundness gives space for elbows on a tallish human model
  25. here is a wireframe of another angle
