  1. Can we see a 3/4 profile render? You did not make any eyes, did you? It looks like you applied the decal on top of the model in the same position of the rotoscope. What does it look like without the rotoscope?

  3. Yes, I did use multi pass. Once at 9x and once at 25x with no improvement. I did some screen caps to show what I mean. You can see the front, side, and camera view setup, and three renders. The first small black one is with a short falloff, the way I need it for the shot, the second one is with a much longer falloff, and the third is with contrast reduced from 50% to 25%. Both the klieg and the bulb have volumetrics turned on to default settings and nothing else is rendering, such as shadows or reflections, etc. Is there a way to have these two volumetric lights stay in their respective positions and still render with a nice "normal" volumetric blend?
  4. I've noticed that when two volumetric klieg cones overlap, it produces a harsh dark gray field. Is there any way to overcome this? I was looking for something that would turn off the additive property, but there isn't one for volumetrics.

  8. Just a heads up, be very nice to Nancy - Wasabi woman. She is very skilled and very creative, not wei..d! Besides, you don't want to end up as a cowtaur
  9. If you have 5 continuous splines, as in Stain's pic above, the 5 point button will usually work; worst case, the period should work. If you have more splines converging on the 5 pointer, then the only way to skin the patch is to keep selecting different combinations till you hit the right one. If you have a hook right next to the 5 pointer, you need to delete the hook, close the 5 pointer, and then rehook the adjacent spline.
  10. You don't need double splines running around the eyes and going down around the helmet. Remove one of the two and you will have a much easier time smoothing out the rest.
  11. How many models have you done with Animation Master? I am truely impressed with what you are doing with this model. Your sculpting experience is really paying off. You can render with wires in the advanced render options. Instead of "final", choose "shaded/wireframe."
