  1. Steve, You may already know this, but in case you don't, I thought I'd chime in. Changing the scale of a Darktree material works best for me as follows: On the shortcut to "material" for a particular group, click on the white triangle (properties, I think) and open it up, then open up "transform", then "Scale" and adjust your percentages. ( I go up to 500% sometimes) Click on the white box with the plus that is to the left of the shortcut and open up the Simbiont properties and adjust your bump scale there.
  2. thanks Paul and Mouseman. As I stated on my FB post: Ok, last time I promise. I wanted to make this image into a "non-info" "Art" poster, but there was just too much unbroken black. so I played just a tad bit more. I'm done now.
  3. Thanks, folks. I just LOVE what you can create in this program. My FAVORITE artistic tool. (well, next to my guitar, of course.) Here is the final poster:
  4. It seem like forever since I've had the time to play with my favorite program. One of these day's I'll get to try to animate. Here is an image I created to make a poster for my friends Blues Jam.
  5. You make the music look good, Nancy. Lothario is dancing like he has definitely gotten over "somebody"
  6. It's only a decal, but I did decorate an egg.
  7. Happy Birthday Mark! I hope it's a good one!
  8. The artist dilemma: How to make a living from your creative talent, and simultaneously maintain you integrity. Mark, you have created a wonderful "product". Just because it isn't paying off at the moment does not mean that it isn't a worthwhile endeavor. It seems that the problem you are facing at this point is one that you alluded to a little earlier. It is a matter of finding your audience, or rather having your audience find you. The internet is a thriving place with millions (billions?) traveling through every day. I have had discussions with musician friends of mine who, along with myself, are also in that same boat. There are thousands of other folks on the web who are clamoring for the same attention that you are. Don't let yourself give up on the Wannabe's. Continue on. Your thoughts on trying different ways of marketing and exposing the Wannabe's to different groups are right on the "money". I strongly suspect that money from the actual strip would be a ways off, but, as your audience and fan base grows, marketing peripherals could begin a small revenue stream that could grow. Bumper stickers, (Pencils, Peechees) small things that are inexpensive to produce and can sell at reasonable prices. One thing I would suggest might be to periodically put out a one minute or so Wannabe animated short on Youtube, linked to the Wannabe website, with a ba-jillion tags. I'm quite certain that I'm not telling you anything new, I'm just trying to reinforce these things. You have created a wonderful franchise. The nations cash flow has become a trickle. It's not as easy to siphon off a little as it was a few years ago. Marketing and finding (defining?) your audience will be the key I think. But I really do think that these will help you: Animated_Shorts.mov

    Tada again

At least they won't be coming back and asking you to do another free one. I thought you did a great job!
  12. That's really good, and I ain't lion.
  13. Nancy, I sent you an email. (maybe, accidentally sent it twice )
  14. Shelton, There are three ribbons here, colors with surface attributes only. Modify it or tweak it however you like. If you'd rather not use it, that is absolutely fine, but if you like it, it is yours if you want it. Cupid__s_Headboard.mdl

    Sneak peek

Me too. But I'm kind of a spaced out guy anyway.
  16. Your improvement is profound between TWO and SO.
  17. Good eye, David. actually when I started it, the front edge of the square wasn't beveled either. To get those corners beveled, (and I wanted to) would have taken me back to the beginning of the project, so I just beveled the front edge before I did a CFA. As it was just an exercise I decided to let it go. The main point of the exercise was getting a round hole integrated into a square mesh, all connected. Learning how to bend splines and control points to my will. EDIT: Ok, Ok... after looking at it again, I realized that the splinage was already in place, and it just needed some persuasion. Man, I love the elegance of this software.
  18. I guess beauty isn't the only thing in the eye of the beholder. . . I must be gettin old. It never occurred to me.
  19. I started this a year ago as an exercise in splinemanship. Had a few minutes last night and have missed playing with A:M so I finished it up.
