  1. Past hour
  2. Still checking the forum and still have an old copy of am on my computer. I need to start using it again after all these years. I started when am was running on my Amiga 3000. I remember even talking to Martin on the phone once. Not sure if Steve is still around. Great software.
  3. Today
  4. This might be it... exercise39b2 NoChar.zip
  5. Hey Rob can I use this Chor you sent to me before but I lost it can you send it me again thanks!
  6. Thanks to RobCat for cajolling me out of hibernation. He is such a tireless hero of A:M! I sort of 'dropped-out' during covid... life got weird, as it does. After 35 years in TV graphics (started in film production as there was no computers...) and found A:M around 1997 after seeing a Greg Rostami demo at Siggraph in LA. Had a LOT of fun and always felt like AM was just a toy to be played with. I used it for many years professionally, and after covid and health setbacks I took a break from the business and just did other things and never really went back. I'd like to get back into 'playing' again now. I am inspired by the entries for the 'finish the...' cvontest. GREAT WORKS! I am poking around the forum, lots of memories, great people! Its been 5 years... I'm BACK!
  7. Hi Everyone! I am enjoying the entries and interviews in Robs fantastic 'Finish the' production! Great work! Cant wait to see who wins... is it too late to enter?
  8. That looks fabulous, Michael! That is Pixar-level food depiction, and Homer looks good too! I especially like the A:M credit.
  9. Amazing!

  11. Get Live Answers to your A:M questions at Live Answer Time at Noon CDT, Saturday July 12, 2025. English potter Josiah Wedgwood was born on this day in 1759. Portrait of Josiah Wedgwood by George Stubbs, 1780 Wedgwood's "creamware" c. 1765 "Jasperware" c. 1790
  12. Thank you Rodney!
  13. Thanks David!
  14. Hi Roger, Spent about 2 weeks modeling Homer, just used the 2001 rig when it came to animation Will post my time-lapse of him here when it's together.
  15. Outstanding!
  16. Also, changing the decal type to displacement didn't work, and the problem was still there when rendered in the Chor.
  17. Found a workaround. Changed the map type to Legacy Bump instead of Bump
  18. Sorry had to leave, I'll try those things tomorrow and let you know what happens.
  19. Also... can we see this hand in lighting in the chor instead of in the model window?
  20. Just to try, just to see what happens, we're certain to be disappointed afterward but... try switching the decal type from bump to displacement.
  21. Fixed normals on all patches one by frickin one, tried re-decaling, tried quitting and re-opening Prj and still get this.
  22. Also tried re-decaling but that didn't work either.
  23. The normals were messed up but it's still doing the same thing even after I fixed them.
  24. Are all the normals facing the same way (out)?
  25. Anyone else run into this? Decal is applied to hand but has a weird "split" down the middle of each finger. This does NOT appear on another character using the same hand. (Orville and Wilbur Wright) Tried deleting the stamp and remapping and then deleting the entire decal altogether and redoing it but still get this shit. Any help appreciated.
  26. Very cool! Great work.
  27. Last week
  28. Neat! How long did it take you to do a credible version of a certain nuclear plant worker?
  29. Thanks Fuchur, Many donuts were consumed in the making.. I needed reference for textures and then didn't want them to go to waste.
