Animation bootcamp interest?

Is there still interest in an animation boot camp?

The goal would not be to teach you all there is to know about character animation but to get you using A:M right so that you may make sense and good use of the abundant character animation information that is available now.

I'm thinking there might be four projects....

-Bouncing ball

-Broad jump

-Walk

-Pose-to-pose acting exercise.

We'd need to find some time we could all Skype together once a week.

I'm definitely interested.

How long do you anticipate the boot camp would last if you move forward with it?

That's a good question. I sort of imagine each project being a one-week assignment. We meet, I explain what to do, we try it some, you come back next week with it done.

But in coaching people I've found it's often better to split these things into smaller portions so there's an opportunity for mid-course corrections before someone goes completely down the wrong path. Some of those projects might span more than one week.

Count me in!

However, skyping at the same time as you guys may be a little awkward due to my faraway timezone….

If the skype sessions could be recorded, that would be a great resource to share for those that are unable to join.

Nevertheless, I'd definitely make an effort to participate :)

I'm thinking my original curriculum might be a bit skimpy. Here's an expanded version.

-Simple bouncing ball

-Bouncing ball with squetch

-Broad jump

-Walk

-Weight shift or side step

-Head turns

-Pose-to-pose acting exercise (this is definitely a more-than-one-session project)

That's a lot of stuff, though.
