Thank,s Rob I triede that but it still don,t show decals when in shaded mode and its tacking a lot longer to go to shaded wireframe mode ,as it used to be allmost instant,it shows decals fine in render mode ,Im noticing now that when I hit the draw mode button it shades the eyes but not the body and if I hit the draw button again the decals show but not the eyes ,this is strange

1.) Did you try to Press CTRL + D?

2.) Did you try to use Refind Normals?

See you

Do all decaled models do this?

Just to try... try loading the project in a previous version like v16 or v15 if you still have one installed and see what happens.

No, you just have to provide the image-file on the other computer too.

There is an easy way to do that using "Project > Consolidate".

See you

If your card was working before and the model works in other versions of A:M then i don't think it's the card. It must be something else.

An alternative is to click the Animation:Master logo at the top center of the forum. That'll give you the same thing as clicking on the "View New Posts" link.

I see you have your realtime view set to the highest level. Try lowering it and restarting A:M. You may be running out of memory to display the high res images.

V17 had an update to the realtime display of decals, I've had issues as well with displaying the images. You could also try lowering the resolution in a paint program.

Thank,s Rodney that works a treat ,Mark where do I find the realtime view thingy to change it

ps I did as you said and changed it to half size in ps and it worked a treat ,thanks Mark thats graet

Right! Never thought of that...

Press "Page Down" a couple of times to decrease the realtime-subdivision-level.

This can also be down using the Draw-Toolbar I told you from before...

See you

Yes it a ATI radion hd 3800 and has 512 ram,its an agp one as my pc dont take the newer stuff lol

That's the same amount of RAM that my card has, so that's not the problem.

Im getting the realtime problem with all models that have decals on in v17 but theye work ok in v16,so Im thinking maybe its not this aged machine afterall
