jason1025 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Hi My friends I am working on product packaging for my latest product. Its not what I want but friends and family are telling me it looks good. I think it looks like a police care. I want to completely rethink the packaging itself and the art Any ideas. I know this sounds ambiguous and I don't want it to be misleading If Someone can do better I would like to see it. If I chose it I give you my word to purchase the design from you. Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted July 13, 2012 Hash Fellow Posted July 13, 2012 Is the large black portion with the 9.5" to be actually printed like that? Would something more instructive fill that space better? Quote
MMZ_TimeLord Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Personally if you got rid of the bluish/white light in the center the clock with the dim half on and off would be easier to recognize. Looks like a great addition to your product line! Quote

John Bigboote Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 It looks quite professional to me. In the latest version, it looks weird where the text lies on top of the LED clock, I would move/resize either element to eliminate that overlap. Quote
zandoriastudios Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I think you should rethink the graphic design of your logo--incorporate the product illustration into the name: Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted July 13, 2012 Hash Fellow Posted July 13, 2012 I think you should rethink the graphic design of your logo--incorporate the product illustration into the name: I like that! Although changing a logo is a major move if the old one is well established. I remember when i worked at Nortel they actually fired someone for proposing a logo change. Quote
Simon Edmondson Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 My suggestions would be to drop all the text and graphics below the level of the sprocket hole. To have Light Dims as the fist line below the sprocket, the "great for..." below that, Customizable, 3:28 and the hand below that, Then the 9.5 section ( for the blister pack ? ) below that, Then below the blister pack , The Original strength..." text ? If the section is for the product, do you need to print the dimensions on the front. Could that and the operating instructions be printed on the back of the pack? (less than ) two pennies worth. regards simon Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted July 14, 2012 Hash Fellow Posted July 14, 2012 If the section is for the product, do you need to print the dimensions on the front. That's a thought. They can already see how big is. Maybe something that indicates they can "cut to any shape" would use the space better. Quote
KJ'd Beast Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Cool product! Nice review from the guys at CNET. It is a great idea for a product. I currently use gaffer tape to block my annoying leds but this is much cooler. Say the most with the least amount of graphics. I don't think you need two graphics to explain that you can customize it. At least as I view it. I think the packaging looks a bit busy. Too many graphics at the top of the package competing for the viewers attention. Will's suggestion seems appropriate. Quote
thejobe Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 ill work on it later today. see what i can come up with. you want a complete redesign? Quote
