I would concur, I've been trying my hand (and failing) at animation recently, and you make it look easy! 4 hours is pretty impressive my friend!

If you aren't already winning in these contests you're well on your way! :)

I especially like your secondary actions (i.e. the antenae).

All you shading guru's should offer a few shading/texturing tips to WOW 'em for the next contest. Unless of course the rules are only basic textures...

Thanks for the positive feedback, guys! :)

I was pleased with how this one turned out. I'm still a novice though and I'm afraid some of the best things about that clip were happy accidents while messing with the channels. I'll note those and keep them in mind for future outings.

4 hours?
I'm sweatin' to make it! Getting anything done in a reasonable amount of time wouldn't be feasible without a good rig, which in this case is the Anzovin TSM rig. I like it because it makes it makes classic contrapposto poses easier to construct.

Looks good enough to hurt my back. I used to have a recurring nightmare of a similar thing except, it was telephone poles and a rhino would knock them down just as I would land on the next pole BUT I never fell down; I just woke up. :)

Mike,

I'm trying to formulate a question here... but... can't.

I'll just say... dreaming (and nightmares) are interesting things for sure.

A new render of this Feb 19 2004 entry in the Animation Showdown.

I was pleased with this one. This was the first time I felt like i got a suggestion of weight in the motion.
