Kelley Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I'm not seeing an 'Export' option in the menus, just an 'Import'. Is it possible to export an A:M model in a file format that 3D Studio Max, or G-Max, will recognize? Quote
NancyGormezano Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Right Click on the model in the PWS - Plugins/export/ Whether those formats that come up - will work - don't know. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted May 22, 2009 Hash Fellow Posted May 22, 2009 and make sure you have exporters in your hxt folder http://www.innovateenterprises.com/AM/ Quote
Paul Forwood Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 A:M exports quite well to both 3DS and Obj format. Here you can see my alien model in XSI: Alien_360_rotation.mov This was exported as a 3DS model and imported into XSI. Nothing has been altered and the mesh is pretty good, though the bias isn't exactly as you you would see it in A:M. Obj files are good too but I find that they sometimes have splines running in places that don't make sense and this means more cleanup work. Sometimes they are just too scrambled. 3DS is the most reliable I find. Quote

Kelley Posted May 23, 2009 Author Posted May 23, 2009 Exported in .3ds format. Worked like a cham. Thanks all! Quote
