Darkwing Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Well, I've determined I'm not the greatest modeller, but, I'm getting quite good at SFX. Seeing as I haven't really seen anybody work with putting everything together into a SFX reel, I am. Eventually, there will be a fully animated SFX reel, but at the moment all I have is a WIP still image. So, here it is! Quote
Viper GTX2.0 Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 WOW, not bad not bad at all i think ur render turned out very good. Keep up the great render! Quote
KenH Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Pretty good. I'd tone down the stars abit.....they're all the same brightness too. Lots of tuts on the net for that. Quote
Darkwing Posted August 9, 2007 Author Posted August 9, 2007 Here's a new shot. I'm beginnig to quite like this! Quote
Zaryin Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Nice! Is it possible to post a short clip? Or are you waitng for a finished animation. Quote
Darkwing Posted August 9, 2007 Author Posted August 9, 2007 I'm working on that now. It'll probably be done in a few days. Edit- Here's a one second long clip. I won't post anymore animated clips until I'm done because it takes a VERY long time to render! Damage_Sequence1.mov Quote
3DArtZ Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Not bad. I certainly don't think that you are pushing A:M's limits. Looks more like you are furthering your own ability. Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com Quote
zandoriastudios Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Keep at it! I agree with Mike--Your thread title implies that the limit is A:Ms... There have been a lot of really cool VFX done in A:M--just look at some of them on AM:Films. Quote
Darkwing Posted August 11, 2007 Author Posted August 11, 2007 Well, I'm not done yet, this is just the beginning steps. And I have no idea when I'll be done. Probably once I feel that I sm either A.) content with what I've created or B.) when I feel A:M can do no more. But your right, it probably isn't A:M's limit, I hae no idea what it is, I just want to create some really cool FX. I think what got me going was that I was reading Dave Rogers book, and he said A:M isn't really all that much of a special effects program, so I guess I want to prove at least to myself that A:M is just as capable a FX program as it is a modelling program. Darkwing Posted August 17, 2007 Author Posted August 17, 2007 Here's a model I'm working on to attack the enterprise and for more fx testing. Edit- Here's a face off in production. Quote
