lordofthesplines
now that AM has all these cool rendering features like AO... its time to have fun with it.. I tend to light my models first and see if there are any probz.. you can tell that I need to fix near the forehead (flat) and the bottom outside of the eyes.. (spline popping out)

lordofthesplines
open wide
higginsdj
When you open wide your mouth will pull the ouside of th eupper lips down to form an O shape rather than a D shape. Model looks good at low res - any hi res versions of the render? Cheers
lordofthesplines
i was just experimenting with how much the model could warp without too much texture warp.. here is the model at a bigger size .. no lights.. just AO
arkaos
Looking pretty great. Are you going to complete the entire head, or is this just for play. Personnally, I'd like to see you put the head on a body and animate it. . I agree that the lip poses to need a little tweaking. They are a little unnatural right now. Usually when a mouth opens, the corners don't really move up or down because that is where the most stretching of the skin occurs. When a smile is added to that, the corner do come up some, but not that much. You have done great work so far. Keep up the good work. KenH
A good way/start to get the mouth corners to move naturally is to weight them 50% with the head and the jaw bone. Nice work so far.
