Try searching "RebumpX" instead.

This is a terrain creation tool from an image correct?

There is a link to a Japanese site doing a keyword search on the ARM (www.lowrestv.com/arm). The link is from 1998 and doesn't load. My guess is that this program is long gone by now or it has changed names.

I believe there is a more recent application that does the same thing if you search through the forum. I remember someone creating something like this for AM fairly recently.

Yea

It takes a grayscale image and turns it into a terrain mesh. If anyone knows of annother program that does this please let me know

It's a vague answer, but search around the Tutorials threads. I downloaded 2 programs, haven't tried them yet, but one was totally for A:M and was free, the other was a basic free version of a more expensive program. This one was "World Machine"...i forget the name of the other one bud!

Caroline mentioned Mike Flynn's A:M Terraform.

A:M v14 also has the Terrain Wizard.

(Note: The terrain wizard was created ages ago by Andy Whitlock but now ships with A:M).

From the Modeling window Right Click > Plugins > Wizards > Terrain

Then either paint or import your image to create your terrain.

Fun... and 0 calories too! :)

Attached:

An example of A:M's Terrain Wizard in action.

The image used was the Nighttime lights of the world.

Blurred slightly in the wizards option panel.
