Here is a test still of an animation I'm planning to do of my Hunley sub in a murky underwater scene, I want to eventually add particles in the water and not sure what approch I will take in doing it....any suggestions are welcome,

But most fo all..does it look like an underwater view in murky waters?

Thanks ,

Mike C

I like the general tone, but the reflection (?) above the sub is odd and I'm wondering if the shadow cast by the fin would be so distinct

But it's a good looking model. It should go duel Eric2575's nautilus.

I agree the 'reflection' looks a little odd. Your only going to geet a reflection like that with a millpond water surface and even then it wouldn't really be discernable from the distance of the camera and the amount of blur that you used.

It looks nice and murky and underwater. Did you use caustics? If you did then a tad more would improve the scene.

Cheers

Yea...that reflection has got to go...especially in thi murky water.

The image used a light gel and volumetrics on one light, then DOF and Fog settings and a water plane with the same image used for the Gel....

thanks for the suggestions/help...and heads up.
