reddynamite Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Hey all, just wanted to share this guy with everyone. His name is Dudley (everyone says, "Hi Dudley"). Anyway, he's a character that I created because I was inspired by some drawings that my 2 daughters did on their Magnadoodles (ages 2 and 4). Hope you like him, and feedback is definitely welcome! Cheers, Noah Quote
reddynamite Posted January 12, 2005 Author Posted January 12, 2005 Thanks luckbat, that's definitely a compliment, considering that's the style I was going for originally.... - -N Quote
itsjustme Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Very cool, Noah! I hope you get some animation done with him, he looks like a fun character. Quote
Mendi Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Nice character, congratulations!! Maybe you could try making a subtle color transition between black and purple in legs and arms. Also, I will try the eyes to look more spherical So funny and expressive, congratulations again. Quote
Paul Forwood Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Ah! You have found the secret to great character design. Let your kids do it! Dudley looks like alot of fun. Well done! Lights...camera ...ACTION! Quote
modernhorse Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Very cool. Puts a real smile on my yap! Perhaps you could round out the pupils? They currently look a bit square. Doug Quote
reddynamite Posted January 12, 2005 Author Posted January 12, 2005 Thanks all for the compliments and suggestions. That's inspiration enough for me to keep going with him. I've rigged him- though, kind of hap hazardly. I'm having trouble getting the FK/IK to work where when you move a foot forward (like in a basic walk cycle) the whole body moves appropriately with it. Can anybody help me with that? thx- -N Quote
jesshmusic Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Man.... those eyes are.... googily! Good job! Quote
