Flame particles

Yes I'm using particle sprites.

 

Here's another version of it.

 

The flames will decrease as the object gets closer.

Supposed to look kind of like it is burning up in the atmosphere.

 

Need to remember not to use anything with reflections, as it really taxes the renderers.

be careful sprites can become habit forming...1st you build the nice machine models now you burn them ..next you'll be using steffen's explode plugin to dismantel them

Yes the moon was accidently receeding --- fixed that.

 

Stopped rendering it as the reflectivity setting I had on the sand was causing more strange flickering.

 

I REALLY like using sprites. Very cool, don't know why I've avoided them.

Hey David, I feel like I hate all of my stuff after awhile. I think it's the same with most everyone. I like the ani, but I think the terrain texture is lacking. Maybe alter the color slightly or add some bump...?
