  1. so, this is a small update, but for being small, has taken roughly 2 hours! Ignore the hole!!!!
  2. yeah, i went to bed before i patched up the hole, which is actually what i'm working on now
  3. i dunno. i don't really have any intentions with this model, i'm just building it to see if i am even remotely capable of modeling something that detailed. and yes, a lot of stuff is peaked, so that explains the magnitude thing. and i'll upload that mdl in a few minutes when i'm on the PC with the model. but essentially i want this to be a ship that you could zoom in really far if you wanted too. i also think i'll build an f-302 and give the ship a squad of 302's in the hanger bay
  4. sure, i'll upload the mdl if you want
  5. which magnitude do i use, in magnitude or out magnitude or both? EDIT: NVM, found it, and i didn't notice much difference when using it
  6. ah, well, a lot of times my CPs are very far apart. anyways, here's a little detailing bit that I've gotten done before i hit the ol sack... EDIT: If anyone has some good front and back rotoscopes, I'll gladly take them, I'm currently modelining from a top, bottom, side and ortho view
  7. i knew somebody was going to say that. this is my thing with beveling, if I can even get it to a good looking point I'll be happy, then I'll learn how to bevel stuff (cause I honestly have no idea how to right now, and I have no idea how it's gonna screw up my geometry!)
  8. Well, I'm attempting to model the BC-304. I am not a very good modeler, so if you give a piece of advice on something to change, you might have to tell me how
  9. That has got to be the scariest thing I've seen all day!
  10. well, i definitely say exaggerate the feet/slippers, and the head too, and then see if it works with the hands, because i can't seem to visualize that at the moment
  11. ah, ok, that makes things all the better. it's funny, some of those shots are exactly 100% how I imagined them too. i really look forward to this!
  12. aw man, I have the jitters now! i'm so excited, though i don't know about the last frame, just having santa take the cookie and it say visualex might be enough, the last bit might seem out of place, but i suppose that's what the editing floor is for
  13. Time for a Flash project!!!!! Sorry, I sometimes get eager when flash projects are needed, course you don't necessarily need to use flash
  14. aw man, and when the gingerbread men are dancing, you need like some sort of spotlight/glowy tupe of effect, where everything else is dark, ro maybe this sort of rotating colour spectrum of light or something, again in spotlight fashion. I don't know, maybe that's too over the top....
  15. ah right, yeah, snail's been in all of them since his invention, work him in somep lace lever this year, make us find him
  16. well, i don't think it's impossible, especially for one with your talent, patience and attention to detail.
  17. hm, those are some nice looking and smooth pics. If I can ever model characters I'll be very, very happy! I can't wait to see how this one turns out, so far the snail one is my fav I think, though i only vaguely rememer last years
  18. that is truly amazing, get a job at like ILM or something and put all that talent to good monetary use
  19. 576,416 patches i don't think i've ever made a model with anywhere near that many patches! maybe that explains the warpiness in my models, not a high enough patch count
  20. great, now I feel like crying You honestly are doing an extraordinary job. What do you do for a living? Because you should honestly be doing that, you're pro
  21. and then as she goes to bed, she glances out the window, in which there is a twinkle as perhaps santa's sleigh flies by way way far in the distance
