  1. just updated the front bumper, I think this version looks a little better.
  2. Thanks mike, BTW, sweet website! Just about finished with the fenders and then I'll begin working in the headlamp & front bumper area.
  3. Yip, I know it's premature to do a c/f/a midway through but I like to see what the model's looking like from time to time. After I'm satisfied with both halves I delete one side and continue building. I'm no expert on alphas myself but the alpha, gamma & magnitude all change the bias of the spline. The Gamma & Alpha sort of bend the spline to make it curve inward, outward, or left & right. This is good because in certain situations, adjusting the gamma or alpha saves you from having to add more cp's to make that spline bend the way you want it to. In the attachment, I adjusted the Gamma to make the spline bend smoothly into the fender. Adjusting the "magnitude" sort of stretches the spline at the control point. Foolin' around with the G/A's is cool for mechanical modeling, but you have to be careful about where you use G/A's on human characters. When you go to create phonemes and you start re-arranging cp's, they have a tendency to shift based on their new position in the phoneme set.
  4. Zaryin, this windshield has some bends that I can only get to work right if I add those extra splines. Control points allow me to do what gamma and alphas can't, in this case, this beemer is gamma & alpha'd to the max. HashJT, I'd be more than happy to donate it to the hash model bank. Thanks for everyones comments....
  5. Here's a look at a Sport Coupe I'm trying to pull together...
  6. Thanks for that link JohnArtbox, I'll save it for when I get 11. Modeling wise, (my opinion, not sure what kind of super hero he is...) 1. Great toes but I'd probably get rid of them and replace 'em with some fancy boots with wings or something. 2. Give him double thigh muscles in the front, single in the back & knee-cap 3. Make him some really tight super-hero-underwear, something that makes him smile the way he does ya know... 4. Broaden the width of his jaw some. My 0.02564 cents
  7. Cool model and.... I love that lighting! Can you provide specs on that?
  8. Hi guys... Yip, I've got it tagged for approximately 5 minutes, just want this guy to be as clumsy & odd looking as possible.
  9. I made him say cheese in this image... just getting his mouth shapes and phonemes in order.
  10. Yeah that hair is pretty nice...! Okay so, does the hair move like it does in your clip based on the movements of the character or did you have to animate the hair movements manually?
  11. Parlo: With the bottom of the shirt, a lot of that is actually modeling the wrinkles in, also I created and applied a "crumple" material to it, so that helps. Thanks Obnomauk! Mike Lium: Yip, I morphed them using one mesh, here's are some examples JTalbotski: Great idea!
  12. This character actually has been morphed into three different characters using the same mesh, this is one of them. I'm open to Q&C, maybe there's something I can add to make him look more like a klutz. BGI: His name is Eddie, he's the second oldest of three brothers that lead a life of crime by robbing banks in the 1960's.
  13. It looks to me like a side image of a space ship traveling through a worm hole of some sort. I think it would be cool if you took this one step further and maybe grabbed a shot of the camera behind the ship as it's traveling through the tunnel. Maybe blur the walls of the worm hole to simulate speed... Or if your into the side scroll scene, extend the ceiling & terrain out some towards the camera, that will loan to the illusion that the viewer is there with the ship. ...and I'd probably lose the lens flare. There's not enough information about where the ship is... the Jelly Nebula perhaps. There are some fantastic images of deep space you can use for reference to build some great space shots. You can also add the blue glow of it's exhaust in the rear...
  14. Well here he is before fur is added. I wonder how well it'll turn out after using Hairbrush on 'em? Hairbrush
  15. Well, here's a quick tutorial of how I made the scene you see above... hope this helps. Space_Scene_Tutorial_101.doc
  16. 'preciate that samsprograms! I do "TONS" of cheating to create a lot of my still shots as do many production houses and filmmakers. My whole attitude is, "whatever works"... I'll write a quick tutorial detailing what I did.
  17. Zacktaich, no I didn't use the Glow plugin just the standard glow on the properties panel. In these images, I wanted some feedback on the atmosphere and I wasn't sure if there needed to be a lens flare or if folks were sick of looking at them. thanks for the comments...
  18. Here are a couple of space images I'm working on for another project I'm fiddling around with. Critques welcome....
