  1. Wow, that is cool! Did you just do that by using on/off poses and alternating between them? That is inspiring, in a weird way. -Andrew
  2. Wow, your lighting is really nice- It definetely reflects the amount of time you have put into it. You are right, it does really set a nice tone for the environment. Looking forward to whenever you get this completed! -Andrew
  3. Wow, these are fun! Here is a more devious expression...
  4. Here is another...
  5. Arg. Double posted.
  6. Wow, this certainly looks like a complicated project- Nice work, so far. Looks very convincing, at least just looking at the geometry. Looking forward to more! -Andrew
  7. Thanks for the help everyone! I now have hector smartskinned and re-rigged. I have been messing around with some test poses and i messed with the textures on his gloves and shoes to make them more rubbery looking, and not so black hole-ish. Here is another expression to demonstrate the new hector. Again, criticism is great! Especially if you think the shoulders look funky. Maybe it's just me. I hope it is. Smartskinning is a pain. -Andrew
  8. Cool, thanks! -Andrew
  9. Alright, thanks! I will post again when i have done all that... -Andrew
  10. Wait... what if i like... deleted the relationships created by the set-up machine and deleted the bones it set up, and THEN un-hid the original bones, created smart skin, and then re-rigged them with the set up machine...? Or is that what you are saying? There is just so much stuff i have done since rigging it... -Andrew
  11. oh dear... Does that mean i would have to completely start over? PLEASE say no!
  12. Ok, now i am confused. Does anyone have experience with this? I am running into trouble when i try to create smartskin for the hips and knees. I rigged the legs with the Anzovin Rigging Machine, but it makes the original bones invisible and immovable, to be replaced with the foot target system. I like this system a lot... but what bone am i supposed to select to smartskin? And how to i move it? For the other joints, i have done rotations. Do i have to translate the feet targets or something? Help!! -Andrew
  13. Have you applied porcelain to it yet? -Andrew
  14. Whoa, yeah, that is a lot of splines. My only suggestion would be to make your own sphere, over again. This time, just lathe it with fewer cross-sections. You are just going to give yourself an ulcer the way you are going right now. -Andrew
  15. Wow! I didn't even see this one. Nice modelling and animation. I like the style- really different. And the preview/trailer deal was entertaining. I am interested to see how you rounded the tops of these guys' heads off. Did you kind of cheat? do they have tiny holes up there that you aren't letting us see? -Andrew
  16. Yeah... I see what you mean. His eyes are a little high on his face. In hector's defense, i think a lot of it has to do with the way i set up the wide-angle camera for the picture. See? See the isometric pic? His eyes are KIND of close to the middle of his head! Oh, and i assume the eyes' freakiness is kind of due to the glow i put on them and their large size. I want him to have large eyes because he is only about 8 years old, and the glow will go away whenever he takes off his mask. It's a superhero thing, I guess. Anyway, I will put some smartskin stuff up soon, because i am having some serious trouble with that now... Thanks for the critique! -Andrew
  17. Haha, i like this character. He's already a funny guy and he hasn't even said much yet. The walk cycle looks a little funky to me- not really fluid, i guess. He seems to slow down and speed up a lot... But overall, nice turtle! Looking forward to more! -Andrew
  18. Cool! Very stylistic. I like it. Now.. the redness of the eyes... is he doing something that he shouldn't be...? Or is he just another late night computer animator? Nice work! -Andrew
  19. I think i will try to enter this guy in the image contest, if i can get going on something worthwhile for a nice rendering. Does he look okay so far? -Andrew
  20. Nice job! I like the expression in the face- especially in just its rigging position. Looking forward to see what you do with it. -Andrew
  21. Wow! it looks awesome. Hope it goes well! -Andrew
  22. alright... here is the shape i have so far... i will refrain from messing with materials now... -Andrew
  23. Hi, I have started working on a ganster-ish car for my evil ninjas to chase down my good ninja with. I've never modelled anything non-alive before, so I could use some advice. Don't bother with the material on the wheels or bumper yet, either... I only have the car body and headlight materials figured out... Any crits and comments would be great! -Andrew
  24. he's looking good! can we see a wireframe? -Andrew
  25. I like the shape. Reminds me of the "A-Wing" fighters in Star Wars. Look forward to more posts! -Andrew
