  1. Not quite sure where I'm going with this anymore...
  2. Yeah..that's just my laziness for right now. THey'll definately be fixed. (right now they're just 8 point rectangles)
  3. Not much done on this scene yet, but I thought I'd post it so far. Batman's actually not going to be in the final, but I needed SOMETHING other than just the buildings for now. I have big plans for this...hopefully they'll develop quickly
  4. Multi-pass rendering
  5. My first thought is that he should be skinnier. He can still have muscle (even have lots of muscle), but have the muscle more toned and take a few pounds off his gut. IMO demons are much scarier/more intimidating when you have a gaunt body with muscles standing out from his bones. I hope that made sense? You'd never guess english was my native language...
  6. Up next: Wrinkles in legs and cape
  7. You could probably cover it up nicely with a loincloth. Something like that would fit your character well and not be too obtrusive.
  8. Another trick I remembered is to put a big white rectangle above your car with 100% ambience. This helps to make your car look like classic car ads.
  9. The modeling looks fantastic! Some suggestions for the render: -Again, change the blue windshield into clear or something else -What color are your tires? If they are completely black, try making them a dark grey. This will help the treads to stand out more. -Are you using an environment map on the body? If not, you should try one. Depending on the color of the car body, you can change the environment map to help (greyscale map if black car, red tinted map if red car, etc.) That's all for now...I'll post more later if I think of anything.
  10. Started on the legs. Still tweaking/detail work to do.
  11. Ninjai - Thanks for the tips for the arms. With the shoulders, I was shooting for an armor look. I thought the chest armor would overlap the shoulders. It looked strange when I had a big bump for the shoulder. I made the biceps/upper arms short and round on purpose for the cartoony effect. Maybe it's not working as well as I had hoped. Anyway, here's another update. I added some hands and the belt.
  12. Started on the arms. It took me forever to get this far...for some reason I can't get them to look right. I still have tweaking on the arms to do. I also want to push out the center of his chest a bit, it seems flat.
  13. I'm wayyyyy too lazy to do any modeling tonight, so I messed around with a bit of rendering/photoshop.
  14. Thanks for all the comments so far. I've started on his back, but again, lots of work left to do on it.
  15. Thanks for the replies so far. I haven't had a chance to change the dimple yet, but I will. I started working on the body. I still have A LOT of tweaking to do before I'll be happy with it. I'm thinking of widening up the waist a bit too.
  16. Wire...I still have lots of cleaning up to do. I've just been trying to get the basic shapes out for now.
  17. Begining of modeling:
  18. Trying out a new style here... Reference pic:
  19. I finally finished this animation. It's been a lot of off-and-on work, but I think I'm happy with where it is right now. This animation is my first REAL completed animation. Everything in it, from concept to modeling to texturing to animation to audio was done by me. And the link: https://mywebspace.wisc.edu/vandeweghe/web/...eactionsweb.mov Here's the link to thier website: http://www.brainreactions.com/index.php
  20. Ahh yes...I forgot to hide that for the renders. It won't be there for the final.
  21. Been a while since I've done anything on this... I'm getting ready to do the final render, so I'm just finishing lighting and texturing: (Note: I'm sorry to say that my main host is down right now, so nobody will be able to watch the animations I posted a while back. I hope to get this fixed soon.)
  22. This SHOULD work...let me know if it doesn't. lightSetup.cho
  23. Worked a bit more on the helmet. I did some subtle changes to the mesh, as well as started on textures. These textures are more just laying out the color than anything else. I hope to make the final version look dirty and worn.
