Last time in 2013 it took winxp 23minutes. A new computer gives another result. Windows 11 64bit Intel Core i9 10900x @ 3.70GHz 10 cores 20 threads AM v19 0.op SSE4 😊

Thanks for your answer, RobCat. Everything works fine. I just hadn't made my account registered. I can download the non expire version. What I wondered. The box looks just the same as the one I bought in 2016. That was AMv.16. Does it matters in price if I decide to use the extra DVD or not? I mean, is there much difference in the one I had in 2016?

NetRendering is a great solution to overcome this problem. The rendertime with four nodes straightens out for a quart of the time. Now I made this 32sec render in 2h30 on 1480x1233. In 2002 on a Pentium100 on AMv.11 it took 48houres on 640x480.
-
Now I'm a bit comfortable with netrendering I intend to do so. But I was searching for a link to the never expire version of AM.
-
Yes, but then I thought.., if I buy the "never experire" last update, maybe I get four new nodes.😄 I'm now on AM v.16.0 that I can update to v17g. A bit too late for an update. So where can I find that "never expire v19" one?
-
Small search on my side. After finding the download page for Animation_Master it seems as if the links to: "Subscription" "Never Expiring" and "Rendernodes" always return to the same first page. A bit confusing, as I need one of the other two. Is there a more practical way to get used to a multiple choice admitment? 🤔 🙂

It is a new computer. Not sure what is the cause. I am a kind of impatient person. On winxp it just glides to on as soon as I reach the icon. On won11 I have to "beat" twice before it reacts. Every time that question mark before it works.
-
Well, sorry again for asking. But I still have the feeling the icon delay doesn't seem to stop. While I'm working half of the time the "touched" icon doesn't reply and I end up without respnd. Maybe I am working too fast, but it is a rather anoying phenomena. It is as if the icon replies with another sign of the icon, that wants to explain what the icon does, and then jumps over it. Is there an oppertunity to get rid of this behaviour, or do I miss something? It only happens on the glass, hand and turn icon. FormatFactory Screen Record20220910_170646.mp4

That wizard got me hooked on Quake for the last 25 years! Not to mention the model exploration AnimationMaster set me on trade.

Not sure what garden furniture has to do with puppit strings.

Thanks for your answers! I do appreciate that. Still half of the honour goes to dumptrunc, because without his patience in practising the video it wouldn't have had that impact.

Here is a small promotion video dumptrunc made of my quake atributions I made with AnimationMaster.

I just use avi file, full frames uncompressed. An image sequence would do, but I'm a little concerned 30 sec comes to 900 frames. Not that bad, but why does it work on Win7 and not on Win11. It looks like a compatibility problem with win11 with some kind of dll. That novilty problem.
-
Only issues I have on win11 is a dll incompatibility, which is as far as I can see a video card issue. AM doesn't like my Nvidea card. I tried a project file with a rather lot of models like a plane model with four sprite emitters, two starscapes ( model of a lot of pointed stars in a sphere) and a background. It took about 20minutes to render one frame. I wanted to render 30 seconds, so I decided to use another aproach as this would take too much time. I made an avi file of the background with the two starscapes and made another choreography of the airplane with four sprite emitters, using the avi file as background. Now the rendering took much shorter time, but my avi file didn't go further than the first frame. I have had this problem earlier. Although I import the avi in the image file and it is seen as movie file, the choreography just loads the first frame and then freezes. I have no idea what causes this effect.

The brieve flickering is because of the mp4. In the program it is rather anoying as it needs two clicks. I can't seem to track it down. It is in both versions AM16 and AM17. Like beating a hammer on an icon. Of course the keyboard is usefull, but I find it a bit uncommen it are just that four icons that freak.
-
That won't help much as I can't change the behaviour of the gl filter. I don't know if it is vissible in the mp4, but it is a kind of delay as if it receives more impulses than a normal icon needs. I am not sure what it is. It looks like a win10 problem what gl driver is in used, or not excistent. I made a avi file of a AM mdl file of a starscape, imported it in AM again. It shows no image. As soon as I try to us it as a decal the program crashes. skip_icon.mp4

Not sure if this is the right toppic but it is a rat her strange archivement. SInce I use AMV17 on my new computer, and changing to 64 bit, I receive a strange delay in the icon. As soon as I click one I see a fast change between "explain icon (txt)", "show icon (symbol)", and finally "use icon (execute)". It is a minimal marge, but it surely slows down the workaround of the program. On winxp or win7 I had no trouble with it, but now on win10 it feels like beating that icon thing to work. What could be happening here?

I have no participation in the saturday evenings questions, but the easiest way to do it would be to pick up the simcloth_splines after the last movement has took place, and then delete all the spllne movement. You select the test.mdl and then go in muscle mode. It can take some time before the splines get selected. I use AM17.0. JiggleTest0.prj after 1sec 10. Then the jigling stops.
-
I was just trying the same sim_cloth procedure on a model''s hair. For what I learned is that when you make the time count for the sim_cloth as long as it falls, it will stop on that moment with glitching. You could take a look at the choreography in the model spline mode and see this trembling in the splines. When deleting all spline tremble behind the point of fall down it will stay paralysed. My failure is that the sim_cloth used on the hair acts much to harsh against the force I placed. So I took all spline tremblence and nihiliate the extra debris by shorten the height value. Then, by correcting the null point back to the middle, it looks like the hair is slowly trembling. I know there must be a better way to fine tune the force emitter, but for now I haven' t had another solution. Just finished a seventeen sec avi with it, but after five hours rendering the avi gets screwed. Some strange reaction of the video setting.

I have the AnimationMaster v.16 . I would like to upgrade it to 17, as it is possible, because I have the serial code for it. I go to LastInfo, and find the updates under at the ladder. I download two of them, but when I want to install them, they both relay on version 19. I know I can't do this, as it is a bit to far, but how come these updates for version 17 go to an update for version 19? 🤔

A:M Bench 2017 – Benchmark for Hash Animation:Master
Madfox replied to Fuchur's topic in Animation:Master
Well, I have no 5 progress render passes, but with this result I'm not sure if my specks line up with 6m45. But another thing. My first post shows the benchmark with the presettings that gives an outcome of 19minutes. Let's say this is caused by the version am16, and not to a new computer. That is still very long if I look at other participants. So if I change the presets along with my version Am16 my bench is 6m45. Well I can't help it, but I had expected more.🤔- 42 replies

Thanks for your answer. I have no progress render passes. I just loaded the presets as far I could do in Am16. Then it still is a remarkable count. 3min39.- 42 replies
