  1. Thanks Lee! Bump map wrinkles? How would I go about doing that? So far I have only got into the modeling and now shader features. (I know, I know Animation is next) Hit me up later tonight on Skype and give me a short tutorial haha!
  2. Thanks guys! Dborruso, I think your right. When i rendered it last night I only used 1 pass cuz I was tired and didnt feel like waiting a long time to see what it would looked I like just wanted to go to sleep. Here it is with 16 passes. So the more passes the less jagged huh? I learn something new everyday.
  3. I decided to try my hand at shaders and came up with this skin shader. Its a slighty tweaked version of Colins tutorial. (thanks Colin!) Let me know what you think.
  4. Hahahaha He is yelling up to an apartment to get his friend to come out. Cool, at least u knew he was yelling.
  5. Here he is with a little shading and a pose
  6. And another view. Im just now starting to working on the shoes. Crits always welcome
  7. Nice work Lee! Your a modeling animal! How are you turning this stuff out so fast?
  8. I decided to try an age progression on the first character in this thread. Here is a side face view. Forgive the ear I know its messed up
  9. Hey Lee here is the other character I was modeling. I know I said I would post it last night but he was starting to look like Elmer Fudd. I know it isnt a static pose I just wanted to give him an expression. He was lookin a little mean now he just looks mischievous.
  10. Man the more I see of this the more I like it. Thanks for the updates!
  11. Oh and here are some shots of artwork that inspires me as far as enviorments. The first few are from Eyvind Earle. He was the background painter on Disneys Sleeping Beauty and was heavily influenced by Gothic art (pre Renaissance) the next one is Gris Grimley an awesome Illustrator and the last 2 I got from another board I wish I knew who the artist were. I like how the last 2 tell a story in one shot
  12. Thanks Lee/Jimmy I always have trouble with the nose, mouth and eyes. Here is a closeup of the nose. What could I do different and not lose the basic shape that I have goin.
  13. Thanks Michael I just copied and pasted the arms from another model I made. I will build him some of his own arms pretty soon here. I have an idea for a short/series(?) that I've been floating around but really this was just for fun. Here is a wireframe
  14. This is a new character I'm working on. Still have a ways to go but crits are welcome.
  15. Thanks! I am gonna leave her like this for now and work on the male character
  16. Got a little more done today. Crits still welcome. (Hope I'm not boring you guys ) I'm just starting to work on the foot.
  17. I was able to finish a little more today. i will get the legs done tomorrow.
  18. Thanks, I was thinking of finding a shader for the hair. By roughness you mean tweak the splines? Thanks I will add that extra spline. Thanks Rodney
  19. Thanks guys Figured out how to add materials haha. (Lost my manual so its trial and error for me)
  20. I feel the same way. I see some of the wireframes that alot of you guys are doing and cant believe that so few splines are being used to get that detail. I'll see where I can delete em and post more pics when I finish the rest of her. Thanks!
  21. No the head isnt connected I just got lazy and hoped nobody would notice. I guess i will connect it lol. I feel like the face part of the head is to flat lookin, almost like its a mask.
